Prior to me getting sick I had quite a routine going. I knew what I was doing and when I was doing it. These past couple of weeks my routine has been blown to bits. Only now am I starting to get back to normal.
I am writing this on Thursday night for publication on Friday morning. Today was the first time I have "made" a proper evening meal; cabbage roll casserole. I am making that as I had cabbage that needed using up. For the past couple of weeks we have been eating, sandwiches, soup, bagels, things that are super simple, as hubby cannot cook. I have got lots of veggies to use up from this month's produce box.
I need to get caught up with grocery shopping, as I have only been doing the very basics.
In fact for the last two weeks, everything has been the bare basics.
I have started a new cross stitch project and will give you a little peek into it over the weekend.
I now need to get back into the routine of cleaning as well....BOO!!!!
Do you have a routine you like sticking too?

I have kind of a routine. I do certain things on certain days. I like to 'medium deep' clean two rooms a day (dust, fluff, etc) and on Friday my cleaning lady comes and together we CLEAN. I hate to cook and hate hubby's cooking even more, so my compromise is to make enough for a left over meal three times a week and once a week we head to a favorite restaurant.
My big problem is laundry. We have been married ten years, we're up there in years and have our own way of doing things. He does his laundry on Thursday, I do mine on the day I have the most energy.
Glad to see you're feeling better these days!
With my sister getting ill, it's really hit and miss these days. I'll pick a certain job, accomplish it then try to get something else done...I run out to my sister's to try to do the odd job but she seems better these days so I let her do as much as she can, herself.

Never mind routine right now. I just need to function at any level. Tommy cannot cook, either. However, I talked him through making white sauce. Then, the next time he did not need any directions. So, there is hope. I asked him if he would cook if I died. He said, NO. I am feeling a bit better consistently. I hope we both get back to 100%
I do have a lose routine. Since getting my chronic illnesses I’ve had to kinda learn to go with the flow
The list in my head is usually two things I have to get done and three that need doing and hopefully will get done
Then if I have the time and energy one or two things that I’d like to get done. That way the most important is always achieved without putting too much pressure on myself
Very glad to hear that you're on the mend and feeling up to doing some things - just don't overdo it!!
As for routines, we have certain days of the week that certain things get done but that can change as circumstances warrant.
Definitely have a routine here. I love knowing what I am doing and when I am doing it.
Glad that you are feeling much better and looking forward to seeing your cross stitch.
God bless.
I like my routines, as well.
