Favourite things #5

Stink Bombs........what a way to start this post, stink bombs.

They are not actual stink bombs but a product that takes any lingering smells out of your laundry.  I find my towels can smell musty over time.  You pop one of these in with your load of laundry and it makes everything smell fresher.

If you have anyone playing hockey these work a treat getting the stink out of the uniform/clothing.
I get mine from both a natural food store (Goodness Me, if they're on sale) or Amazon.
They are individually packaged so you just throw one or two in the washer depending on the size of the load.  I have been using these for the past year or two and I'm very happy with the results I get.

I am sure there are other products out there, but I have to say I am happy with this one.

Kitchen linens stink like stale grease or something. Nothing helps. Putting them in the laundry with hot water and a dishwasher tablets works, however, these probably are better. I might try some of these. I really only need to wash them for stink about every three months even though I was kitchen stuff weekly. Thanks.

What a great idea! I lived with someone who played hockey. It was gruesome!

Does the label tell you what's in them? I suspect borax.

I NEED some of these!! Our towels are awful and I can't seem to get them to stop smelling despite trying all sorts of different things. I hate having to buy new towels just because they don't smell so nice. On the other hand I can't use any sort of laundry soap that's highly scented due to allergies so it sort of leaves me at a loss. Thank you - I'm off to Amazon to see if I can get some.

I really had a giggle when you mentioned how they got the stink out of hockey stuff. The last year our oldest played I was not allowed to wash anything... Boy did the boys stink coming out of the dressing room to the ice surface.

God bless.

If you have a KitchenAid mixer

have you seen these: They are hooks/knobs that either stick or can be screwed into your cupboards to hang up your mixer attachments too.  I...
