Milkweed, Gill. And monarch butterflies LOVE it. It grows interesting pods that release silky parachutes in the fall. ;-)
Gill, I think what you have there is "Heart-leafed Milkweed". It's beautiful! Should attract butterflies.

Are you seeing Monarch butterflies around? Anywhere I find a patch of these I'm seeing quite a few. I've heard the blossoms are a treat for people too (though the rest of the plant will make us sick.) Haven't tried them though...
