Favourite Things 1

I am going to do a series of posts throughout the year about my favourite things.  These are things that I love and use all the time.  None of these items I talk about are sponsored by any company.  I have bought the items myself and think that they could be useful for some of you.

First up is my Fridgesmart containers.  I personally think they are worth their weight in gold, as they keep produce (fruits and veggies) fresh for so much longer.  Therefore I am not wasting things.

I have four sizes. 1 x small, 3 x small deep, 1 x medium and 2 x medium deep.

Each one of the containers has these or similar pictures on it, showing various fruits and veggies.    You can see in the top right hand corner of each group of veggies or fruits shown there is a circle.
That circle is shown on the lid and each lid is vented.  You move the vent to the circle that corresponds with what you are storing in the container.

I got my kids a set each and they had a mixed reaction to them.  Some items they loved putting in them.  Other's not so much.

I buy packages of mixed lettuce leaves, a big container fits in my medium deep container and I get four or five days out of them.  I have a lot of success with peppers and romaine lettuce.  My radishes will last a couple of weeks no problem.

I have to say I have many pieces of Tupperware, and am very happy with the product/brand.

Do you like Tupperware?

I haven't bought any Tupperware for ages. Can you still get it in the UK? I've just checked and, yes, you can. Guess what came up on the opening page too! Those containers look brilliant and if I wasn't on a spending go slow this month, I'd get some. Thanks for the info.

Tupperware has closed down in New Zealand and is no longer available There are other container systems available but not as good.

I have some genuine Tupperware - almost all from Charity Shops. It used to be sold only through their Party Plan, and I hated them. Most of my plastic storage now is the Lock'n'lock system which I prefer. But they don't make the vented lids (which do look useful)
This Favourite Things Series looks like it will be very enjoyable (please ignore raindrops on roses and whiskers on Kittens though!)

I haven't seen or heard of Tupperware for years. These containers do look interesting and thank you for the review! Looking forward to reading more of your favourite things (brown paper packages tied up with string?)

We got a new fridge and it just doesn't have space for more cool stuff because my mom might enjoy one of these! But they look nifty.

I have tupperware from the mid 70s. :-) Still works just fine. Is it still only through a party?

I do have some Tupperware. But honestly they’re just so expecting here.
So I buy other containers that are much cheaper and do the exact same job.
I’ve actually got some containers now that store flat. I’ve got them in the caravan and I loved them so much
I bought a few for the home.
Storage is a bigger issue for me

I have a few Tupperware pieces, but lately I have been using glass. I am getting great results with those as well.

God bless.

I love Tupperware. I have received a few new pieces over the years and the rest I have thrifted. I’ve never seen the containers you have shown, probably too new to be in the thrift shops yet.
I store my washed lettuce ( any kind) in a green oblong container or an amazing nesting bowl set I purchased at a charity garage sale. The lettuce is still crisp even2+ weeks later, not slimy or rotting. I have no idea how they do it, it only appears to keep this well in my Tupperware.
I collect it at my favourite thrift stores but recently it seems harder to find and when I do it’s expensively priced.
Nice to see another lover of the product.

I started a list of favorite things to do the same as you. Great minds and all.
I loved the old Tupperware, not so much now as the seal is not tight. But, I will have to look into these.
