Donating

We're heading to Liam's Christmas Concert at school this evening, and the school is asking for donations of food and/or unwrapped gifts for children.

I decided to find a couple of things for teens as they are hard to buy for.  Went to Michaels and got a couple of painting kits.  Everything is included in the kit, which I liked.

The cashier said, someone else had been in and bought a lot to donate to the Salvation Army.
On reflection though, the painting kits are maybe more for girls than boys?
I bought a couple of things and took some things from my pantry for the food donation
It's not a lot but it's better than nothing.

Anything is a good thing...

If everyone donated just a little Christmas would be so much better for so many people. Our local food bank did a 'reverse advent' request this year so we played along and did a box of goodies for a needy family. One of the local banks matches monetary donations for purchasing a turkey and all the trimmings so we contributed to that as well. Small things, but hopefully a big impact.

I agree with Magpie, any little bit helps. I have a bag to take to the Salvation Army and will do so tomorrow.

God bless.

We donated a new coat for a boy and one for a girl. All the little things add up to help people. That food looks like things people will enjoy. A painting kit is good for boy, too. My brother would have loved that. He really like paint-by-number.
