Those *loody Robin's are back and are wanting to nest on the window ledge above my front door. So had to do something about it before they built a nest.
There was bird muck all over the front porch, so had to swill (wash) that down as well, which drove hubby potty as his phone kept going off because of the alarm on the door bell while he was at work!!!

Oh no...Maybe some sort of wrought iron grill could be added? Something decorative yet wouldn't allow birds through? Such a shame you have to resort to plastic Anything on such a beautiful entrance.

That plastic adds nothing to the looks of the door. But, no poop or attacks makes it worth having to live with plastic. They make a spiky strip to discourage birds from landing over church doors and making a mess below. I wonder if something like that would help. I do love the door, even with the necessary plastic. You know the alarm works!
It must be so frustrating!
My parents had the same issue at the side door.
