Lots of photos for a Monday.........

Sunday was a busy day for me. It was lovely and sunny and I am sure we were hovering around the freezing mark, Spring like weather!!

Took advantage of the good day to fill all the bird feeders, pick up the poop(!!) empty the ash bin and even clean the outside of the family room windows!!!

I got some sewing done, you'll see what I am working on, on Wednesday.

I cleaned up in the attic for dh as he had to work all day on Sunday.  He was surprised to see how tidy it was up there when he got in from work.

Have you seen my nursery below. My babies.....I took cuttings of an Apple Geranium. I hope to sell them in the summer for a couple dollars each. Its the leaves that smell of apples.  I used yogurt, sour cream and cool whip containers, along with a coffee container.

Here is the photo of our ottoman.

A close up of the fabric.  I am so pleased with how it looks.  I also cleaned out the storage space in the ottoman.  Which was also a bonus.

This is a photo of a needle book I got off my nana many years ago.  Not sure what the age of it is, but to me the front looks as though its from the 50's, what do you think?

This is the inside of it.
Did you remember to put your money in your Daily Saving's Club pot today?

Today's Money Saving Tip:

When you're out of money. Plants can be expensive, so when your running low on money using cuttings to grow new plants would be a good idea. Buying extra soil and rummaging around your house for an extra container to put it in is definitely cheaper than buying a whole new plant.

I have an old needle packet like that that was in the drawer of the treadle I got. Nice surprise. My neighbor has scented geraniums that she uses to cook with. I really do need to ask her for some cuttings.

Hello Gill
Good to hear your weather is a bit better at the moment - you certainly have had it hard this Winter
Have a look at this link for info on your needle book

You did have a busy and productive Sunday Gill!!

I have bought cuttings of plants in these containers. And I have to admit that I have 2 from last year that are still in them. Maybe this year they'll get planted in something that will have more room for "their toes!"

Your ottoman is lovely too!

I think the ottoman looks fantastic! Better than some items I've had recovered by 'so called' professionals.

Sounds as though you had a good day Gill. I love getting all sorts of different jobs done. You still have plenty of snow by the look of it. We are forecast to possibly have more next week.

Great idea on the cuttings, Gil! I tell you what, I went to an out-in-the-country sale two years back and bought probably a couple hundred dollars worth of perennials off the property owner for about $30. I drove a ways to get there, too. He'd had some veggies he'd started, but what I wanted was the sweet woodruff, hostas, solomon seal, and hardy geraniums. I bought LOTS of them! He advertised on kijiji. He dug the solomon seal for me because he wanted me to have a nice, big, healthy clump that I could divide further! I always look for plant sales advertised in kijiji. If it weren't so darned far, I'd come to yours!

I go to horticultural society sales, too and they always have their stuff in yogurt and margarine tubs, etc. Anyone who likes to play in the dirt appreciates the recycling!
