Walking shoes

I am very lucky I have a variety of shoes to go walking in depending on the weather.  When it's dry out and reasonably warm I wear my running shoes (right hand side).  When it's cold out and slippery, I wear my "old lady" zip up winter shoes.  These are from Land's End and I have had them for years.  (These ones are a similar one.) When it's snowy out, the hiking boots come out.

On Tuesday it was the "Old Lady" zip up shoes.  Which rubbed on the back of my heels and so now I have had to put a plaster/band aid on them (SIGH)
So here I am height of fashion in my zip up shoes and my jogging pants!!  My typical walking gear.  Comfort over style.

I'm trying to walk more since retirement and we have lots of lovely lanes and footpaths all round the village where we now live. I recently bought some Proper Waterproof Walking Boots, as I realised my trainers wouldn't cope with Norfolk mud and soggy ground. I love them!

I am wearing winter lined CROCS for my walks at the moment. I just bought new ankle boots, BRIGHT RED!

My walking shoes are actually safety shoes with steel toes. I find them very comfortable.

LOL, I am never the height of fashion when I head out for a walk. Heck I am never the height of fashion at any time, truth be told.

God bless.

It's horrible getting sore heels. Luckily I've not had any in recent years since I went back to wearing Clarks. I used to think they were expensive but when I see what my children & grandchildren pay they're not! Anyway I often buy them in the sales and they last for years.

I hardly wear boots unless the weather's really bad which thankfully isn't often. Funny that because I used to love boots when I was young, now I hate them.

Hope your heel's better soon. Do you use those Compeed plasters for blisters? Have to say they're fantastic. Not that I've used them but when I used to be a tour manager I had a bloke who had blisters across both soles of his feet & he couldn't walk. They worked a treat!

I am never the height of fashion, ever. Right now, I only have sandals, so sort of thinking about something just to cover my foot.

I'm all about comfort over style. I use foot orthoses, which really limits my footwear.

Thanks for the visit!

I am definitely comfort over fashion...as well as practical over fashion. (I hate jeans that have either no pockets or what I call pretend pockets...so small they are useless.

Tuesday was a mixed bag type of day. Had the appliance repair guy come again to install another circuit board in the fridge.  When hubby got...
