Over the weekend a dear friend dropped off some Ontario Peaches for me. She got them from the Niagara region. She goes down there from Brampton each year just to pick up some peaches. She brought me 7 of them. I must admit, I am no expert when it comes to peaches. Do I like them.....yes. Would I travel over 100 kms just to get some freshly picked....no.
They were as good as they looked, very sweet and tasty.
I also peeled and chopped one to put in our sugar free jello. I had mixed feelings about this, and wouldn't put them in jello again, the peach flavour was over powered by the jello.
I had one jello leftover in the fridge with fresh raspberries in it, now they are one of my favourite combinations.
We also have strawberry jello with fresh or frozen sliced strawberries, we all enjoy that. Orange jello with drained canned mandarins, one small can divided between the four glasses of jello. Strawberry jello with sliced bananas. The grandkids love it when I make jello; it's a treat for them as they don't get it at home.
Are you a fan of fresh peaches? Do you like jello/jelly?

Your peaches 🍑 look delicious, Gill. I like to eat them cut up as well.
Jello was something I liked in the past but I haven't had this in decades.
Oh, yum! We've been enjoying local peaches here this month too. The season is just about over now though.
My peaches also need to be cut for the same reason as you.
The orange sugar free jello and canned mandarin oranges are always in my cupboard for a tasty dessert.
Thanks for reminding me, dessert for tonight sorted.
I love peaches. One of my favourite breakfasts is oatmeal with a sprinkling of cinnamon, a cut up peach and vanilla yogurt (all together). I am not a fan of jello, though. -Jenn
I do like peaches but buying them in the store can be sketchy. I have not had jello in decades. I liked it as a kid but can't if I still do or not. It looks good.
My mom used to go with a friend who drove (mom didn't learn how to drive) and pick peaches in the Niagara region when we lived in Scarborough. She would freeze them with a bit of sugar. So very good in the winter.
God bless.
The only way to eat peaches in your hand is outdoors with the garden hose nearby. I don't think I'd care for them in jello though, although my mother used to put a can of fruit cocktail into jello. If I'm eating peaches they have to be fresh because I can't stand their artificial flavour.
Our local peach harvest has been incredible this summer. I love them and loathe jello
Yum! Those peaches look good.
All the best Jan
I do like peaches. Although that fuzz is annoying. Why don’t you plant those stones in a pot of dirt and see if you can grow your own tree. Then you would only need to walk out back to get some.
Fresh peaches are just the best, and the season for the really good ones is so short!
