I finished a bag making class last week and am very pleased with the results.
It's called a Sublime Bag by Sew Sweetness. If you click on the link you will see how other people have made theirs. However when looking at theirs it's slightly different with the long handle option and the zipper ends sewn in?
I made mine with the blue cork from MM Supply in BC and the William Morris fabric from Moda.
The inside features a fully lined zippered pocket. You can also see my Vera Bradley wallet (purse) in the bag, I am a HUGE fan of Vera Bradley.
There is an acordian style pocket also; which if I make another bag like this I will change up.
I made the handles myself out of the cork. One of the things I had a lot of trouble with was making the fabric zipper tabs/end. I made these ones out of scrap cork and they work well.
There is a lot of work in making a bag; more than what meets the eye, but I must admit I had fun making it. When making something like this, make sure you use quality materials as they make all the difference.

That's an absolutely fantastic bag. I am filled with admiration!
xx
That is one very nice bag! Any plans to make another?
That's lovely. William Morris designs have a timeless beauty
How nice! I envy you for being able to sew. I am a Vera Bradley fan too but if you can make your own unique bag, that's great!
A beautiful make. Any plans for making more?
You did a great job on the bag, it's beautiful!
Very impressed - and it will be lovely for Spring and Summer (if it ever decides to stop snowing)!
Love the bag. You did a great job.
Well done!
It really is nice...and I love using the zippers with the bigger pull tabs. I need to check and see if I have that fabric...I almost think it is one that reminds me of it.
There are a lot of people that just think these things can be whipped up in an hour or less. And I know we would get faster the more we made...but still the best you can do, it takes time.
Beautiful work. I love the colour.
God bless.
That's a love;ly bag. Great materials.
Was just in my fabric, and lo and behold, there was my FQ of the fabric used on the outside of the bag....I was thinking I had a half yard.
