Needle Felting Class

Took a needle felting class in February at The Knitting Basket.  We were making an owl.  I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it.  You can take out your frustrations and de-stress with all that stabbing.  I broke one needle and badly bent another one! This is my finished owl.
I decided to put a heart on the back of my owl; which other people in the class decided to do as well.
The photo below are all the owls that we made in the class.  Everyone had such a lovely take on how they wanted their owls to look like.  The one without the face hadn't been finished when the photo was taken.

I bought some bags of rovings and decided to have a go making one at home.  Not sure what I was going for but I think I have made a Zombie Owl...LOL

I enjoyed making this, but I don't think I am talented enough.  So although I will attend the odd class, I don't think I will take this up as a hobby.  Do you or have you ever done needle felting?

Never tried needle felting, i don't like the feel of the fleece that is used.
Cute owls though.

You did a great job on your first owl, not so sure about the second one.

One of the women in our quilting guild has done a lot of needle felting and at one of our recent meetings she did a demonstration and we all tried our hand at it. It was fun to do, but not my idea of a hobby I would enjoy doing.

Enjoy your day.

By the way I have started up a new blog, Life in S. W, Ontario, the previous one quit working and I did not know how to fix it.

I have never taken a class or even tried to do it. I probably never will since needle arts ar not exactly my strong suit. It is a very cute owl though!

There is a lady here that does craft fairs selling her felted projects. I have often looked at perhaps giving it a try, but I don't know that I really need another set of projects.

Your owl is adorable.

God bless.

I haven't, but it seems to be popping up on my radar a lot lately. I have bags and bags of fleece that need to be used up too.
