The weather was damp, snowy, wet and just plain miserable on Monday when we had to go to a funeral. Perfect weather for the occasion if you ask me.
Although it was good to see a number of people who we hadn't seen in a long while, it's always sad to only meet up with people when someone has died.
It does make you think that you should get together more often and live life to the fullest. In this case the deceased was only 62 years of age; taken way too soon.
Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

Funerals always have that way of getting us to think of what's important in life.
Sorry for your loss Gill.
We also have a funeral looming as my husband's grandmother died just before our baby arrived. It's made her seem all the more precious x
My extended family now seems to meet up only when there is a funeral. I have to agree that the weather has been rather funereal the last week or so!
That seems to be the only place we get to see relatives any more. It sure would be nice to see them at happier occasions.
God bless.
