while other people are really clever!!
The other day when coming home from Niagara, we decided to call in at a Farm market down the road from where we live as dh fancied new potatoes and salad for supper. This place is pricey but the produce is super fresh. We were standing looking at the baskets of new potatoes and they were $4.95 a basket. Can't say I was impressed with the price but I knew we would get four meals out of them.
So I told dh to pick one, while he was doing that I saw some more baskets, exactly the same size at $2.95. I looked back and forward at both lots of potatoes and couldn't see a difference other than the $4.95 potatoes had been washed and the $2.95 potatoes hadn't! You don't have to guess which basket we took home!!
Fancy charging an extra $2 just because the muck has sort of been washed off. As at the end of the day you would still rinse them off regardless if they had been washed or not. This place is a popular stop off place for people going to the cottages.
Published another book review here if anyone is interested?

She is such a cutie and has a fantastic smile.
Guess what? Suckers still buy the more expensive ones because they can't be bothered brushing off the soil! Haha! Six months ... so cute and cuddly. Hugs Sue
I am a lazy cook, but even I would wash my potatoes!
Love the photo of baby...she is adorable.
So hard to believe she is 6 months old! Where does the time go? She is as adorable as ever!
$2 for washing potatoes? Bah! Pity to the people who buy the expensive ones. The baby, as always, brightens the day with her smile. I love bracelets on babies...
