I bid on this at the charity shop and won:
This is a close up of the centre:
Now to be fair it looks old; however is it real, I do not know. I paid $30 for it because I love it regardless of whether it is real or not. It certainly looks real. It's now hanging in my sewing room.
I found a lovely little Fabric and Yarn store called Bee Quilt in Niagara on the Lake. They stock Liberty Fabric from London which is gorgeous, however at $35 a yard it's pricey. They also stock Kaffe Fassett fabric which is a little cheaper. I picked up a baby quilt set from the Riley Blake collection called Little Red Riding Hood.
I have been coveting these glasses for a while in Chapters, but at $8 each thought they were too expensive.
So imagine my delight when I was in Chapters on the weekend and they were 50% off. They are glass and as I was saying to the cashier I think we can put the plastic Tupperware beakers away for a little while!! They look as good close up:

I love it too! I did a post on coloured glasses too. Must be that time of year lol
The Quilt piece is perfect to hang in a sewing room. Hot hot and going to be hotter today. Stay cool Gill.
I just found a new fabric shop too and looked at that same fabric! Love the glasses and the quilt square.
What sweet fabric!! Your glasses are so pretty, I have some that are close to them that were my grandmothers but am afraid to every use them.
The quilt piece is charming. What a great way to display it. Happy for you that the glasses were discounted. They are so pretty! I believe in using the "good stuff" now because every day is special.
Man I wish we had a Chapters nearby! I've been eyeing the glasses that look like the Depression glass. Especially the blue ones.
Love the fabric line and the glasses.
I like your charity shop purchase!
Lucky you...what gorgeous finds you have acquired...I would say the quilt scrap is quite genuine...

We had those glasses at the local Chapters too, but they sold out before the 50% off sale, or I would have bought some. All that was left was a blue pitcher!
