Friday........

Finished cutting the grass.

Got about half of the front ditch cut/trimmed and tidied up, in the hopes it will deter people from throwing their garbage in there.  It was hard going and I still have quite a bit to go, but it's a start.

By 2pm it had started to rain, so indoors I went which is just as well as my poor feet were so sore.  So after I had done the ironing I sat myself down trying to rest my feet.

I input some recipes for the recipe book, have to say all the while saying icky to myself, as they were all for pickles, and I am not a fan of pickles.

I have even made myself an appointment for the doctors for next Tuesday, to see what on earth is going on with my feet.  You don't realize how much you need/rely on your feet until  you have a problem with them.

This is what was on Squirrel tv Friday morning:
Love the way Molly is standing/sitting there.......

Here is my column for the Orangeville Banner; it's more or less the same as the one I did for the Eden Valley Messenger.

Hi Gill I haven't had much time for blog reading of late. So am sitting here on this lovely Saturday afternoon catching up on your posts. Aren't people just the pitts when they think they can make everwhere a mess with their rubbish!!

I have a jar of wonderful peppermint scented foot balm, it's heaven after soaking tired feet in the bath for a while. Works wonders, it does!

I LOVE the photo. I'm giggling and smiling. :)

Good for you for getting as much of the lawn done as you did before the rain. About the trash in your ditch: I feel for you, really I do. We live on a corner and our ditch collects tons of litter. It's such a thankless task to clean up after so many thoughtless people.

Hope you find out what's wrong with your feet!

Eek, hope your feet will get better and that it's not serious. You seem very active so yes, feet are important!

It's great that Molly is happy with one channel on squirrel TV! On Friday we had a rabbit in the yard--Our boy Josh was totally fixated with it. When I fed him his evening meal, he gobbled it down and ran right back out of the porch; it was like he was eating during a commercial! :-)
Hope you've had a good weekend, and a wonderful Mother's Day Gill!! I hope your feet are better too!!
