When we were in the Eaton Centre last week, I popped into Indigo Books. They have a huge 2 storey store, so had a look around. As it is a Canadian Store they were featuring a lot of Canadian books, authors, publishers etc. This display was all CBC Books. I have enlarged the photo as much as I could, the store was super busy.
This section featured Canadian Publishers. Burman Books, Toronto. Figure 1 Publishing Vancouver. Firefly Books Richmond Hill. ECW Press Toronto. Kids Can Press Toronto. I didn't capture the bottom shelf company, but I think it is Groundwood Books.
These two books caught my eye and when I read the synopsis on the back cover, they sounded interesting. The Winner by C.J. Parsons, and The War We Won Apart by Nahlah Ayed. I will say after reading the reviews on Good Reads (I have put links on the titles of the books), both books had very mixed reviews.
Honestly I am like a kid in a candy store walking into a book store, if money were no object I would have walked out of there with a bag full of books!!!Do you enjoy looking around book stores?
