I know why on earth am I talking about that!!! I hate hockey; I'd rather watch paint dry, but when the NHL hockey season starts so does the Tim Horton's NHL Challenge. I posted about it here before.
So the season starts on September 29th, and that's when you get a chance to guess who is going to score for teams that they list. If you guess correctly you win points which add up to free product.
If you look back at that last paragraph you will see the word "GUESS" twice, as honestly I don't have a clue who is who in the hockey world; but for some reason I am usually quite successful in getting points. If you get get points every day for a week, then they give you free coffee for a week......I mean it's a win, win situation if you ask me.
I know some people study up on the players; okay if that's your thing. My picks are generally on whose name I like the sound of that day. It annoys the heck out of devoted hockey fans I know, but who cares, as long as I get points and free coffee!!
Have you seen the price of coffee recently it's so flipping expensive, so if I can get free coffee I am a happy camper, and believe me in Canada there is a Tim Hortons coffee shop just around most corners. Within a five minute drive from our house I have the choice of a minimum of 3 Tim Hortons, and within a ten minute drive a further two more stores, oh and there is also a one at the gas station I forgot about that one!!
We Canadians love our coffee shops!!

DD2 and SIN are regulars at Tim Hortons, me i can take it or leave it.
I feel the same way as you about hockey. My Dad loved to watch it on TV, I use to dislike Saturday evenings when I lived at home. Thank goodness for books.
Sounds like an interesting concept but, like you, I don't have a clue about hockey. Don't much care for Tim's coffee either (tastes burnt to me) so we'll stick with the golden arches version.
Yes we do! LOL! But how did I not know about this contest? I must have been hiding under a rock!
I have never played that game, but it sounds like fun.
God bless.
