Thank you so much..

We are very touched by your thoughts and concern and really appreciate what you have said.  It's getting easier, only had tears a couple of times on Sunday.  We are getting used to our routine's minus Molly.  I swear the chipmunks were constantly looking into the house on Saturday looking for Molly.  We are leaving the table in front of the window as we enjoy watching the squirrels, chipmunks and birds feeding.  However there is something missing and it does tug at your heart:

On Saturday we went out mainly to give us something else to think about other than our dear Molly.  We went to the dreaded Wal-Mart and I bought this vacuum cleaner:

Ironic it has all the pet features, it was however recommended by the assistant manager in the store, as we were talking to him.

I am not sure if you can see it clearly but see the amount of dirt and hair it picked up.  It has major sucking powder that's for sure.

We paid around the $100 mark after taxes.  I did notice a huge difference in my rugs, and they look a lot cleaner.

Anyhow, onwards and upwards as they say.............

Gill, I'm sure with time you'll remember Molly without tears. Your vac sounds good and I'm pleased you're happy with it. That's the main thing. Sue

Hi Gill,
I've just read your blog after a short absence. I'm so sorry about Molly's news. In my case, the loss of Annie (my pet) is much bigger than I expected. After a year, I still couldn't decide the next action.
I believe Molly is now in a good condition.

We have a Bissell Pet Eraser (maybe you have the newer version...ours is 5 years old). It is awesome. You have no idea how much junk is in your carpet until you see it!!

Your wound is still fresh...no one expects you to be over it yet.

Everyone who meets our Bandit wants him, however I could not bare to be without him either. Our Bo has been gone now 12 years and I still shed a tear when I miss him in my thoughts. Good job on the vacuum, as you will need it for lots more hair in your future.

I hope it lasts for a long time...I have an old cannister from Kenmore and it has been one of the best vacs ever but I do wonder how much longer it can last. It has got to be close to 15-20 years old.

Glad to hear that the tears are easing up.

Thanks for the review of that "hoover". I've been staring at it for a while.

I've got an old Kenmore in the garage. It worked great but the bags got very expensive and hard to find. So hubby keeps it for the cars and uses a bag about every 18 months.

The Dirt Devil that I use, I'm beginning to hate because of the filter and having to bang the dust off of it. The built in that came with the house is useless!
