Missing Molly.....

Would you believe it is coming up to five years on October 13th that we lost our dear Molly?  There she is with that hedgehog of hers..........
Where we live is not particularly dog friendly.  We have new neighbours and they have a 12 year old lab called Hudson, he is the perfect gentleman and makes me miss Molly even more.

When we were on vacation in Williamsburg, we saw so many dogs and the majority were so well behaved.  Including this one called Nora, who was sitting on the "naughty bench," like our grand daughter has to do!!
This Nora was only a year or two old, I can't remember exactly.

When we were walking one morning we met a couple who were walking four Bernese Mountain Dogs, ages 4, 3, 2 and 4 months.  I wish I had taken a photo, as they were the cutest bunch albeit a big bunch!!

Is there going to be another dog in our future?  I do hope so, just not while we are living in this house.

I feel as though I am losing it this week......

Remember the Slipper Thief post from the other day?  If not click here.

I had another "incident" happen to me on Thursday.  I sent out the following email to the book club members as we all live on the same subdivision.

"Just when you think you have seen it all something else happens. I came home today and wasn't sure if the garbage men hadn't been to our house.  As I put my garbage out inside of my garbage bin, I had to lift the lid to see if they had been or not.  Imagine my surprise when I lifted the lid, to find two presents there of bagged dog poop.

Now as I seem to live in a permanent brain fog, I had to think about this for a few seconds, as to when I had gotten a dog.  I then realized we don't have a dog and someone had put them in there.

I am not mad or anything, more astonished that some person (s) would have the audacity to do this.  I should thank them though, as it made me think for a few seconds, and bring me out of my daze."

A knock came to the door a while later and it was my neighbour.  His wife is a member of the book club and he was the culprit.  I probably wouldn't have noticed the dog poop if he had put it inside of the bag in the bin, but he put it on the top.

Their garbage is picked up first thing, and mine not until later in the morning.  This dog poop had been left in the bottom of his bin, so he knew ours hadn't been picked up and popped it into our bin.  They had the same situation in their last home and did the same things with their neighbours.

I felt bad "complaining" and her having sent her husband over, but at the same time I personally don't think it is a thing you should do.  I played up on the fact to them that I was more concerned I was losing it and had thought I had got a dog and forgotten about it.

The dog situation is a big bone of contention on this subdivison.  As it is mainly retired folk who live here; we have a lot of dogs, especially small white ones!!  For folk who don't have dogs, dogs peeing and pooping on your grass is not a good thing.  The majority of the people do pick up after there dogs, but some don't.

For the people with dogs, they don't see the harm in letting the dogs walk on your front grass and peeing.  We have no sidewalks/footpaths.

After the winter melt, it seems there are a lot of "presents" all over the place.  So in the next newsletter this issue will be brought up AGAIN!!

I am waiting for the condo board to tell me to take down my no dog signs (see this post) as no signage is allowed.  So far they haven't sent anyone over.  It will be interesting to see which board member draws the short straw and has to have the discussion with me!!!

If I sound a bit cranky with this situation you are right, there are a number of little things that are annoying me.  I just hope I can get over it as I don't plan on moving any time soon, as I LOVE our house.

P.S. I love dogs, honestly I do.  I am still pining for our Molly, but this is not the right area for owning a dog........but what do I know?

P.P.S. Just read this post and had a good cry.

Looking back on 2013

it's been a funny old year with all sorts happening.

Obviously the highlight of our year has been the arrival of the two "N's."  Miss Nora who arrived on November 16th and our little Princess who arrived on January 12th.  Both have put so much love in our hearts and are such a blessing.

We were also fortunate to be able to go away on vacation in September to our beloved Smokies.  It was a break we both needed and it made us realize how much we missed going away, and that along with a number of other things also made us decide that this house is too much for us, which triggered another big decision to put the house up for sale in 2014.

Also due to some ill health and even some people dying both close to us and passing acquaintances in 2013, it made us realize we need to embrace every day we have left on this earth.  You just never know when it's your time to be called away.

We did try earlier in the year to replace Molly with Milly, but that just didn't work out and we haven't felt the need in our hearts to look for another dog, although we have been tempted a time or two.  I never knew an animal could affect me so much and we/I think of her nearly every day.

I will not be seeing the New Year in, haven't done in a number of years now.  We do go out for dinner tonight, no where fancy.  I will clean out my coupon wallet today and will write down all the important dates and birthdays on my 2014 calendar before I throw out the 2013 one.

I will talk about our plans and hopes for 2014 tomorrow.

A Happy New Year everyone.

A year ago today we said goodbye to our dear Molly....

Can't believe the year has gone by so fast and although we have tried to get another dog (Millie) and have looked at other dogs, no one has caught and held onto our hearts like Molly did.

Here is a link to last years post, I was reading the Rainbow Bridge poem again it says it all. (although Molly was put to sleep on the 13th of October, it was a Saturday, that's why I am posting it today)

Looking back and looking forward........

Must say I am glad to see the back of 2012, it wasn't all bad but we did have our fair share of lows.

My car died in April and where we live I need a car, so along came Betsy.  She is a great small car for me, but it now means we have a car loan.  Now granted it a 0% loan but it's still a debt.  We also had to fork out for snow tires for her at a cost of $1,100, but did manage to sell my old ones for $400 (I think?).

My step-father had his heart operation but during or just after the operation he had a stroke.  It was a very worrying time for us all.  Pleased to say he is a lot better, but he will never be "the same," and does have a few lasting side effects from the stroke.  It was the luck of the draw I guess as another older more fragile lady who had the same operation to same day, walked out of hospital as fit as a fiddle.

Dh has had a number of health issues over this year and some are still not resolved, mainly his knees.  So a second opinion I think is in order in the next few months, as his left knee is starting to spasm now, which is what happened with his right knee.

We lost our dear Molly in October which was just plain bloody awful.  I still miss her and I am so NOT ready to get another dog.  Not sure if we will ever get as good a dog as what Molly was, temperament wise.

My hands are still not right, I see the surgeon again on Thursday for my bone scan results.

On a more positive note dd and son-in-law bought their first house in August and it's a joy to see their happiness in their house.  They are working hard to get it how they want it.

Ds is back with his girlfriend and moving into an apartment tomorrow; and seems a lot happier.

We love living where we live and are very lucky in that respect.

2013 is going to bring its own challenges I am sure, but we'll embrace them head on and take the good with the bad, as we always do,

It's a big year for us personally, as we celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in June.  Not 100% sure what we are doing regarding that.......stay tuned though.

We pay off our mortgage this year, we are now down to 35 weeks, so that's exciting.

On a negative note dh's job may be experiencing some changes by the end of February.  We don't know for sure what will be happening, but as dh does not like change he is worrying himself silly about it all.  He should/will have a job, it just won't be exactly what he is doing at the moment, and he could be working less hours, which as he is hourly paid means a lot less money.

We will be welcoming a new baby in the family in the next couple of weeks, as "R's" baby is due by the middle of the month, so we're all excited about that.  Dd good friend is also expecting so I will be going to a baby shower in the next couple of months.  Dd and I are holding the cookie swap party at our house in December, already making plans for that.

We are going to make more of the garden this year, if dh will help me.  My back can't handle all the gardening on my own.

Overall I am looking forward to 2013 and what it will bring.  I hope you will follow along with me as I blog about it?

I want to wish you all the best of luck and love for 2013.  I appreciate you all for taking the time out of your busy days to pop by and see what I'm up too.

Sealed Pot challenge and Youtube video's....

Back in January of this year I posted about the Sealed Pot Challenge that I was taking part in, the link to the post is here  If you click on that link, you will see a photo of Molly, brought a tear to my eye when I saw it.

Anyhow back to the sealed pot challenge, I opened ours up yesterday and here is what was in it:

There was $96.90 in there which wasn't too bad.  Instead of using it though I popped it back into the pot as that change only filled it maybe 25%.  We will see how much there is in it, in December of 2013, and maybe there will be enough to have a weekend away for my 50th birthday in March of 2014.  So here is a photo of our pot all sealed back up for another year:
If you want to participate in the 2012/2013 sealed pot challenge, you can sign up here.  I was listening to yesterday's Christmas tune on my blog when I took the photo!!

I have site meter on my blog and I happened to look at it on Monday night and look what I saw.  The pages on my blog have been viewed over 500,000.  I know to some of you that's nothing to what people have viewed on their blogs, but to me it's mind blowing and makes me grateful to everyone who visits my blog.  Thank you all!

Missing Molly in the strangest of ways.....

The strangest things make me miss her.

I was slicing tomatoes for my lunch the other day and turned around to give her the top and the bottom.....she wasn't there.

Went to tell her to look out the window at the rabbit.......she wasn't there.

At night before going to bed I always topped up her water bowl.....it's not there.

While having my breakfast in a morning, I am always at my computer with Molly sleeping on her ottoman, keep turning around to tell her something....she's not there.

While preparing supper she was always under foot.......not anymore.

Oh well, it's early days, it will get easier.  I have had various people ask me if we'll get another dog, not at the moment, but I'll never say never.

I am dropping off all of Molly's things at Orangeville Humane Society today.  We are keeping her collar, leash and her tags and they are in a drawer with Maxine's (our first dog) tags.

If you have a moment I posted a book review here, it really is well worth reading this book as it will shock you.........

Any ideas what these are?

They seem to be the bug of choice around here at the moment.  Normally its Asian Beetles and Cluster Flies I am complaining about but this year it's these.  The only blessing is that they are outside and not in the house.  It's been a very quiet Fall for cluster flies and I'm touching wood  (my head) when I say this; I haven't seen any Asian Beetles at all.  Dare I hope all the work we have done in the house is starting to pay off?

I have had a busy couple of days both inside and outside of the house.  Missing Molly like heck, but the pain is getting easier to handle.

I posted a couple more book review's, here and here.

Thank you so much..

We are very touched by your thoughts and concern and really appreciate what you have said.  It's getting easier, only had tears a couple of times on Sunday.  We are getting used to our routine's minus Molly.  I swear the chipmunks were constantly looking into the house on Saturday looking for Molly.  We are leaving the table in front of the window as we enjoy watching the squirrels, chipmunks and birds feeding.  However there is something missing and it does tug at your heart:

On Saturday we went out mainly to give us something else to think about other than our dear Molly.  We went to the dreaded Wal-Mart and I bought this vacuum cleaner:

Ironic it has all the pet features, it was however recommended by the assistant manager in the store, as we were talking to him.

I am not sure if you can see it clearly but see the amount of dirt and hair it picked up.  It has major sucking powder that's for sure.

We paid around the $100 mark after taxes.  I did notice a huge difference in my rugs, and they look a lot cleaner.

Anyhow, onwards and upwards as they say.............

Molly 2004 - 10/13/2012

This is one post I had hoped NEVER EVER to have to post, but as you know anyone who has pets knows that one day we all have to say good bye to our beloved pet.

Today was that day for us, we said goodbye to Molly she is now running around in heaven chasing squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits to her hearts content and is pain free.

This has been one of the longest 24 hours in our lives.  I took Molly to the vet on Friday morning and our vet told us that medically it was time for Molly to go.  She had all the symptoms of Cushing's Disease, but it was caused by the steroids, not one of the glands.  Her skin was red raw in a number of places and it was only getting worse.  The two steroid pills we had her on a day were not doing their job.  Her liver was very enlarged and her back legs were shaking all due to the steroids.

No medication could reverse these issues so it was in Molly's best interest to have her put to sleep.  We could have stretched this out for a couple more months but that in our mind was being selfish and putting our feelings ahead of Molly's well being.

Our emotions are very raw at the moment.  We both were with her when she fell asleep and a tear did trickle down Molly's cheek, but she knew right to the very end she was loved and will be deeply missed.  Even the vet was crying.

I will be taking a few days to mull things over and grieve.  I thought this says it all:

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Photo of Molly and the kitchen.........

I was taking photos of the kitchen (more about that later) and Molly wandered into the kitchen to see if I was cooking and I snapped her in one of the photos.
I would dearly love a new kitchen as ours has seen better days, but we just don't have the money to pull it all out and re-do it how I would really like, so we are planning on doing a "mini" renovation after we finish the basement.

We are going to replace the sink, taps and counter tops and the hardware.  Also fully replace the under sink cupboard and put the old doors back on.  In the scheme of things not a big deal, but I do hope it freshens it up and makes it look a lot tidier.

It poured down on Tuesday, so it was a good day to run some errands to get those silly jobs that have been wanting done for a long time done.  We also headed to Cookstown Outlet Mall but once again didn't buy anything.  As outlet malls go, its not the greatest; although I could have spent a small fortune in the Villeroy and Boch store and would love to have this pattern for my dinnerware.

I have also discovered a new to me drink at Tim Hortons which I adore, Blueberry White Tea, which I have with two milks.  It is like having a sweet treat without all the extra calories.

Odds and ends.....

Today would have been my Nana's 99th birthday if she was still alive......... I wrote about my Nana and Pop here  If you have a minute read that post I think it's worth while.

Dh is back at the hospital today to see the surgeon and to get his TWO stitches removed,  You would think he was getting TWO HUNDRED stitches removed the way he was going on the other night!!!  As I pointed out, he was being a drama queen.  He said I had no sympathy........well duh.....he's only getting two flipping stitches removed.  I had ten stitches in the one hand and six in the other and did I get any sympathy from him......heck no!!!!

So please think of me around 10:30 a.m.............actually it will probably be around 12 noon before we get to see the surgeon.  I am going along as I want him to make arrangements for a MRI on his other knee, as we want to know ahead of the game and try and prevent this happening to his "good"' knee.  If you hear of a British born woman murdering her dh because he wouldn't stop whining.........there's a good chance you'll know who that woman is!!!!

It's been too stinking hot and humid around here for me these past few days. Anyhow on Sunday I decided to cut the field as it was getting long again.  I have to say it's been a good summer as far as grass cutting goes.  I missed a month of grass cutting due to it being so flipping hot and the grass not growing.

Bathed Molly on Sunday morning; gave me the evil eye for the rest of the day!!!  I don't understand why she just doesn't accept the situation.  She has to have a bath, I am bigger than her, so I win not her?  Her skin feels nice and soft now.  Jane and Chris rescued this dog (Duncan) last week.  We were going to go and see him, but I don't really want a dog that is only a year old.

Cindy gave me some beets and a cucumber the other day.  So for lunch on Sunday we had cheese and cucumber sandwiches.  I love cheese sandwiches; though I think it's a toss up between cheese and red onion or cheese and tomatoes fresh from the garden sandwiches.

My dad used to take cheese and jam sandwiches in his bait/lunch and my mam said the other day she was having cheese and chutney sandwiches for her lunch.  I dislike both those types.  Do you like cheese sandwiches and do you add something to them or just eat them plain?

Dd and the Olympics........

We were down at dd on Sunday, so I was busy painting and gardening.  There was a very brief introduction of Molly to Olive the cat and it didn't go well!!!!  So the cats were shut in the bedroom, probably for Molly's protection!!!

Did manage to watch the Olympic closing ceremony and thoroughly enjoyed it, despite all the adverts we had to endure over here!!!!

Thought I'd show you a close up of the bouquet's that were handed out thought they were very pretty:

The bouquets
The victory bouquet has been designed by Jane Packer, an internationally renowned UK florist. The bouquet represents the vibrancy of the Games and the four sections hold a different variety of the rose, an iconic British flower. Each section is also divided with traditional herbs – mint, rosemary, English lavender and wheat. These British-grown ingredients are designed to provide an unusually eclectic fragrant mix. Info from the London 2012 site.

Loved "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life"

And of course John Lennon's "Imagine,"

Love George Michael, granted he's past his best, but his songs are catchy:

All in all very well done I thought!

Home of the week and other things......

This week's "Home of the Week," is not really my taste, but I do love the before and after photos.  They really did a good job, of bringing light into the home.  It is amazing what the right wall colours, and staging does to an old house, plus some renovations.  They brought a tired dark home back to life.  Not sure I would pay $2 million though for the house?

If you don't click on any of the other links click on this one for the "Cottage of the Week."  Mind you paying $12 million for a cottage on it's own island is probably out of all of our reaches.  It's way over board for me this place, just too much of everything, don't you think?  Even the grounds feel over done as well, not at all natural.  I think I'll pass on this one!!!!

Want to pay $7.5 million for this week's "Condo of the Week," go ahead I won't be fighting you for it!!  The swimming pool is so wrong it looks like a fish tank perched on the terrace.  I wonder why they didn't put any furniture in it to stage it?  At the selling price isn't it expected?  I obviously don't move in the right circles, as I had no idea who Peter Freed was, I had to Google his name!!!!

I had to go into town on Thursday, so I went into the thrift stores, in my search for tea cups.  Didn't find any sets, BUT did find this platter for $3.  It's lovely isn't it?

It poured down all day on Thursday, and I took a photo of Molly staring out of the window.  She is probably thinking about whether she should venture outside, but with it raining will it make her shrink as she's "allergic" to water!!!

And Molly went walkabout!

Here she is laying in the sun, thinking about her weekend........

On the weekend, we went to dd and son-in-law's to lay hardwood floors and do other jobs around their new home.

As we were away 12 hours each day, we took Molly along with us.  Will say by the time we were on our way home on Sunday, Molly settled into the whole going in the car thing, and even laid down and fell asleep around 15 minutes from home!!!

One thing Molly loved about dd home is that it has a fenced back yard.  So she was allowed to go outside without being on leash.  She had a whale of a time and was busy sniffing around for ages.  So I let her out Sunday afternoon and was reading the paper.........by this time I had appointed myself "Supervisor!!"

Dh and son-in-law come in the front door saying have you lost something.......here dh was carrying Molly.  The story went like this:

Neighbour (2 doors down): Have you lost a dog?

Dh: No

Neighbour: we have found a Beagle cross called Molly......

Dh: Oh, that's our dog.

Dh and son-in-law wander over to the house, shouting for Molly to come.  Molly in turn completely ignored them!!!

Neighbour: is she pregnant?
Dh: no it's the pills she's on.  She has allergies, and that's why she has no hair on her tail........

Everyone now looking at her tail...........

As I said to dh, someone has to love Molly, despite her looking pregnant and having no hair on her tail and her completely ignoring you when you call her, and that someone is us!!!!

They said they had called the telephone number on her tags.  We always have her collar on other than during the night, as the tags rattle.  What nice neighbours they were.

Oh and before I forget, yes she decided to christen dd and son-in-laws house by peeing inside, flaming dog, thank goodness it was on the old floor and not on the new hardwood......

Also, we got Molly around 3 years ago, so she must be around 8 years old now.

Forgot to say, the gate to the garden was not completely closed, so Molly nudged it open with her nose.  She does the same with the screen door at home...........she's an escape artist!!

Hip and Happening......

That's me......well actually they are my shoes, well as per our dd!!!  She actually liked them, which believe me is a first!!

I bought a couple pairs last month on sale.

I got this pair of Rieker-Antistress shoes.  They are so comfy and not my usual type of casual shoe.

Both dh and I love Clarks shoes and we took advantage of the sales to buy ourselves a pair of casual shoes each.  Mine are Privo by Clarks  Will say I have hardly worn them yet but so far so good.

Dh loves his "deck shoes," again so very comfy.
Do you have a favourite brand of shoes?

I got a free sample of Juicy Fruit Orange Creme Pop gum with my magazine.  It was actually nice and sweet and tasty.
I am not a gum chewing person and did find my jaw aching after a while.  Also one thing I hate is people chewing and blowing bubbles with gum in public.  Do you chew gum?

Finally a cute photo of Molly:

Horses, Molly and wildlife...

The new folk have built a paddock in the field behind us and now have two horses residing in there through the day.
One is called Elle, no idea what the other one is called.  Notice they are wearing their "sunglasses" we call them that, but I am guessing it's to keep the flies from their eyes?
This is Molly's view of the horses.  She barks like a crazy dog when Heather is riding the horses, no idea why?
Here is another of Molly's friend's.
Now this friend of Molly's looks as though it has been in a fight.
That particular friend is the one that Molly tries to catch through the family room window; she tends to forget that there is glass there!!!!  Silly doggy!

Molly is faring okay I guess.  Her skin looks icky in places where the hair has dropped out.  She looks as though she has eczema.  I keep bathing her, which is a joy for all concerned!!!  She is looking pregnant, but that's the steroids she's on.  She has had a couple of accidents in the house recently, which is very unusual as she is a very clean dog, so not too sure what's going on there.  Twice we were sitting right there in the same room when she peed???

Overall though she is a delight and is just getting older.  She will be around 8 years of age in August.  We think her eye sight is getting weaker; oh and she has selective hearing, she should be a man, don't you think!!!!!!!  As I know my dh has selective hearing when it comes to me talking to him!!!!

We were going to get another dog, but as yet we haven't got one.  Not 100% sure we want to up scuttle Molly's routine.

Updates on a couple of things.......

Molly, we still haven't got a friend for Molly yet, and with the ways things are money wise, it's been put on hold.  Her allergies are really bad at the moment, so we may have to increase her steroids yet, which will cost more money.  I am holding off taking her to the vet for blood work until May, as there is no more money in the pot for anything else this month.

50 + 1 Recipes: I have been made aware there are a lot of recipes on the posts that are taking you too ads, or no longer exist.  I will go through them when I have a few hours to spare, namely on a night when I sit down to watch TV, however I won't be doing that over the next couple of days as we have run into a problem, which brings us up to my next update:

Driveway: Looks gorgeous and still very pleased with it.................BUT..........weeds are coming through to the surface????  So the guy popped by to take a look and has told us to put weed killer on it and they will come back and put another layer of tar and chippings on it.  These weeds are not just on the side, which I expected but in the middle of the driveway.  So I am going to be busy with that.

Called both garages to see if I can get a partial refund on the repairs that were done on my old car, still haven't heard anything back from them. Will give them until the end of the week and call the first garage again in Barrie.  The other one I won't follow up on, as that is where I bought my new car from.

I went and left a CD in the CD player in my old car, so called them and asked them if they could take it out for me.  You'll never guess what CD it was...................Meatloaf, "Hang Cool Teddy Bear."  The guy at the garage just laughed, and said his mother was a fan also.  I think he thought I was more of a classical music type of woman.

This poor birdie was a tad dazed when it flew into our window:

003
It's a Northern Flicker, and quite a beauty.  The good thing it did fly off when I got closer to it.

All bark and no action.........

That's what our daft dog is all about.  She was sitting in her usual place waiting for the squirrels when she started to growl; then she started barking, so I popped my head up and our resident coyote was wandering past in the field behind us.
If it's the same one that was visiting us last year, it's fairly grown.  I went out on the back deck to take a couple of photos, and Molly came after me, barking up a storm.
Notice how her tail is stuck up in the air.  She looks as though she has put a lot of weight on, but she is on double the steroids that she was on last year, and she is still scratching.  Oh and I guess it could be lack of exercise on both Molly's and my part as well!!!!  Will say the coyote seemed pretty bemused about Molly barking up a storm and wandered off out of the way and probably for a bit of peace and quiet!!!!  It could have been worse, Molly could have been howling!!

Sunday was a very overcast and dreary day.  Took this photo around 7pm when we saw a little bit of sun:
When we were out in the truck we saw a lot of fields all ploughed and ready for crops.  This photo is looking towards the hills south of Creemore:
A quiet day around here, how was your Sunday?

Feeling just a tad bit smug with myself......

Why, because I have moved one rung up the ladder from being the total city idiot who lives around here.  Our new neighbour lady now has the bottom rung, as it turns out she is a city girl who has moved to the country.  Mind you I could be in for a bit of a competition, as she at least owns a horse and has two dogs.

Bumped into her while I was walking Molly yesterday and she was walking her two and just happened to mention about our resident coyote that is still wandering around.  She wasn't awfully thrilled about hearing him, and decided to walk back to the house rather than walk via the field.  As I pointed out to her, she had no need to worry with her two dogs, one is a boxer and the other is a black Bull Terrier, so they would over power a coyote.  Happened to see our coyote friend a bit later on by the way, he's now looking scruffy.

One good thing did come out of our meeting, Molly although interested at first with her dogs lost interest fast, as Molly's nose took her in other directions.  So I know she'll be fine with another dog being around.

The cluster flies are overtaking the house again.  I did however book the guy to come and point outside of the house for next month, so that should help in the Fall.  I also have a guy coming by to give me a quote on re-shingling the garage roof and I have been calling around to see how much chain link fencing is per linear foot.  From what I can gather $11.50 is the normal around here?  I don't have much in the way of knowledge of this product, but would like to have an area fenced so we could let Molly out off leash.  I was thinking four feet high would be fine?  If anyone has more experience in this any advise would be welcome.

Oh and by the way, Molly is in a state of confusion at the moment, as I walked her three times yesterday........she has never been walked as much since my brother was here!!!

Finally this photo was taken Sunday evening, we are very fortunate to see such beautiful sunsets:

Fall flowers
