Thursday although sunny was flipping cold in the wind. Dh was off work for the day so after he was finished with his appointment we were out and about running errands. We were shocked to see a lot of people wandering around in shorts and t-shirts, didn't think it was that warm.
We called in at Garden Gallery in Barrie and I bought three window boxes. The only problem is they have to be brought in each night, as its too cool on a night yet.
I also bought a poppy as they are one of my favourite flowers especially the bright red ones.
We also called in at a store in Alliston called Details and got this clock to put in the garage.
When we got home I finished off the field and must say from a distance it looks pretty good, however close up there is more weed than grass.........just as well the weeds are also green!!!
Going to be busy over the next few days, so if I don't get chance to post, have a super weekend. If you're curious about what a "Flap's Down" Type of Day is check out this post and this post.

Same as ours, Gill, green but very weedy, except very colourful right now with millions of dandelions
Love the window boxes, and so agree in the grass. If it's green it's good enough, besides clover and such bring in bee's which help the garden
Oh yes, flaps down for sure. I stayed indoors and did housework because the wind was whipping right through.

I had an airforce hat like that when I was a kid...it had belonged to a brother in law that was in the AF....I loved those flaps....
Love the clock and the field is lovely. It has even cooled off here and is only in the high 60's today -- very nice and definitely different!
I think most Canadians know what "flaps down" means :p
