meaning I feel as though I am getting sick again........to be honest I haven't been 100% since I first started with this cold a couple of weeks ago. Now my throat is bothering me again. My energy level is a big fat ZERO. On Monday it took me to lunch time to actually get dressed. I even skipped my morning shower, which is so unlike me.
I was talking to my mother who is in Britain and who also has the same cold and the nurse at her doctors office was saying this cold is hitting everyone twice; in that just when you think it's over with back it comes again. One thing is for sure I can't be blamed for giving it too her, she got it off my younger brother who is also as sick as a dog with it. So on both sides of the "pond" people are suffering with it.
Yesterday I talked about my bedtime routine, today I will tell you about Molly's morning routine. She gets up with dh at around 4:30am when he gets up to go to work, and he lets her out. More often than not she goes and lays down on the sofa and back to sleep.
Now if I am not up by around 6:45am she comes upstairs to see where I am and generally makes a nuisance of herself. So I generally give in and get up, as by this time I am awake, and once awake I stay awake.
I get up and go downstairs to find her sitting on the ottaman waiting for me to fill her food bowl and water bowl. She then moves to the kitchen when she hears me getting her pill and the cheese slice. Once she has had that I put her collar on, and she sometimes wants to go out, but more often than not she goes back on the sofa and back to sleep...................thank you Molly!!!!
That dog has got me wrapped around her finger.........but I wouldn't part with her!
By the way stew on the second day is better than the first day, isn't it?

Sorry to hear you're cold is returning. Stay warm and keep it fed. Stew sounds like a good idea. I miss the doggy antics now our dog has gone but I do remember that he could wheedle anything out of me!
We've got a bug like that going around down here, too. You have to suffer two or three times before it goes away. Do hope you feel better soon. ~Liz
I often say our pets train us, we don't train them. Feel better soon Gill.
Sorry to read you are again under the weather, hope you are feeling better soon. Keeping my fingers crossed, I have been cold and flu free this Winter.
Hugs
Patricia
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Time for a good book, a stay in bed and hot lemon tea for a drink. Hope you're feeling better soon. Hugs
Yes, that dog has you wrapped tightly. :)
I have been fighting a cold for several days. {I drink Emergen-C one or two times daily. Not sure if you have it there...it is a mega dose of vitamin C} Perhaps I should just give in and get it over with????
Oh dear Gill, I hope you don't get sick again! If it drags on, maybe you should see if it's mono? Or have you already had that? My cousin got it a few years and it felt like a cold that was knocking her out for the longest time. They didn't see it was mono until she reacted to the antibiotic they gave her to treat her throat! I hope it's isn't that in your case though, I really hope it is just a pesky cold!
As for stew, I totally agree with you there :o)
Hehe! Your dog sounds like a sweetie even if she is an erly riser.
Hope you are feeling well soon!
Oh, no, not again! I hope that the second round is much shorter than the first.
If you think Molly is bad, try 3 or 4 cats!!! They get me up anywhere from 5:30 to 7:30 to be fed...then after they eat if I go back to bed, they want outside....but if I stay up to let them outside, they don't necessarily want to go....then they sleep all day. Sometimes I feel like passing by them and shaking them a little bit every half hour or so....but like you, I would not be without them if I had the chance.
