Dd and I went shopping yesterday and we had a lovely few hours together. We are both on the same page when it comes to shopping and we can trail around the stores chatting away about nothing for hours. Amongst the things we picked up were the Champagne Glasses for dd and husband to be for their toast, and they are just gorgeous.
If you want a better look here is a link to them. When we walked into the store we were looking at the Vera Wang ones for Wedgwood however they were so expensive and honestly not as nice as these ones. Dd saw a couple of china patterns she really liked, so when she goes to register I think she was going to add one to the list. I must say I rather liked this designer and her things. I have never heard of her, have you?
It was quite funny when we got home and showed dh what we had bought, and for dd to say to her dad, and this is what you bought me today, thanks dad!!! I think dh just rolled his eyes, and thought now how many more hours am I going to have to work!!!
By the way his eyes are more or less okay. Although he says his right eye is still not right. He has done the full seven days of drops, so we'll see what happens next.
Enjoy your Sunday.

Gill,
Your daughter picked out a beautiful set of toasting glasses.
I had no idea how expensive these could be. It's been a long time since I heard of anyone still wanting to pick out a China pattern.
Mine is Yorkshire Rose by Royal Dalton very simple but pretty.
Sounds as if the two of you had a great day.
I have to agree, really like Monique Lhuillier as a designer. :-)
Pretty glasses. Hope you have a wonderful Sun. Hugs
They're lovely, Gill, and bound to be good if they're Royal Doulton.
A lovely day spent with your daughter. I liked the glasses very much and enjoyed looking at the new designer's pieces. Thanks! Hope your dh's eyes feel 100 percent soon.
Interesting. I prefer your choice of flutes too.
Vera Wang is very expensive and a bit too stylish for me, if you know what I mean.
Like you, I like the other designer and no, I haven't heard of her. It's simple and attractive. You always have to remember with crockery that the food provides the interest so it seems sensible not to overdo it on the design of the china.
Having said that, my own china is white with blue forget me nots on it. I've had it since 1970 and so far, with only one breakage. Now, don't think it's in the cupboard and never sees the light! I use it all the time when I'm in England.
Lovely glasses-very stylish ! you just can`t beat a bit of girlie shopping-hoped you stopped off somewhere nice for lunch !
I really love looking at crystal and china too--There are such lovely and intricate patterns to choose from aren't there?
I hope DH's eyes are better soon and I hope you're getting your sleep!
I much prefer the glasses that dd chose to the Vera Wang ones too. As for Monique Lhuillier, I had heard of her, but hadn't seen her more recent pieces. They're lovely!
