Blew out the driveway twice on Friday but I think I have it more or less got it all cleared..........well until the next snowfall. It was hard going with the wind. I managed to get it cleared so I could go to town. My brother's birthday is on the 10th and I hadn't got his card put in the mail. Should get there in time though as the mail to Britain is pretty good. I was only out an hour and by the time I got back the driveway was partially covered, so I blew it out again after lunch.
I went for a shower after doing the driveway a second time and after I got out my skin was dry so slathered some Mango and Mandarin Body Lotion by Bath and Bodyworks on my body. It smells so nice; I love the smell of citrus, very invigorating. Mind you in my case not invigorating enough, as I couldn't be bothered to put my clothes on and spent the rest of the afternoon in my dressing gown.
While in town this morning I nipped into the grocery store to pick up a couple of things, including milk. We buy our milk in bags, I talked about it a while back on this post Anyhow I see that they have put the price of milk up, it is now $4.47 at No Frills for a 4 litre bag, it was $4.17.........now that is just under a gallon in the Sates and just over a gallon in Britain. What is the price of milk where you live?
Everything is going up in price though I am finding...........
I am a British born, living in Canada since May of 1989. My blog is about all aspects of my daily life.

As little as $1.00 a litre - the farmer gets 37 to 0 cents a litre from the grocery buyers. in the wake of the floods one farmer is hand feeding his cows at $800 a week and getting $1,000 a week for all his milk. He has to pay all his other costs out of his $200 a week "profit". The grocery buyers reckon he's well off!
btw - since Cyclone Yasi bananas have been tiped to rise from $1.99/kg to $15-20/kg!
Hmmm.... seems that milk is more expensive here in Western Australia. I paid $4.46 for 3 litres just this afternoon. Bread is around $3 - $4 dollars a loaf for basic multigrain bread, but I can get it on special for around $2 if I'm lucky. It's so hard to feed a house of hungry teenagers cheaply these days!
My most favorite scent these days is Lavender, so after a shower I always use Lavender Scented Shower to Shower. I usually have a Lavender soap too. Amazing to me that I can't remember the price of our milk. I usually get it from our local supermarket. I have been buying organic for quite a while now.
The price of milk in Indiana is $3.50 a gallon most times. We use a CVS card and try to get milk for $1.50 a gallon when we can. This card offers reward $ for items purchase when you purchase the right items. I'm going to check out that citrus scent at Bath and Body. I like the way citrus gives such a fresh scent.
I love the smell of mandarin. It's gorgeous.
Milk in bags? I've never heard of such a thing!
In England I can still get my milk in pints, glass bottles on the doorstep. I love getting it that way but it is a bit more expensive. These days we usually get it from Sainsburys.
I just noticed a 10 cent/ liter increase here (NB)... for 4 liters it is $6.19. Your $4 something sounds pretty good to me right now!!!
We use soy milk as we are vegan;it is $4.29 for a 1.89 litre carton.

I use a mildly scented body lotion if I have had a bad day...feels so luxurious.
I've noticed everything going up too. Have you seen the cost of tp lately..unreal. I guess we will all have to buckle down even more. Yes, I got them!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. No snow coming from this way. Hugs
Currently in my local Sainsburys you can get milk in bags for 25p a pint/£2 a gallon.
I was interested in Star's comment - I went back to 'doorstep deliveries' in glass bottles as a trial in January - but that works out at 60p a pint/£4.80 a gallon.
I cannot afford to pay more than twice as much - so going back to the supermarket I am afraid.
Blessings x
We are fortunate as milk in upper NY state is on average $2.50 per gallon. Although I can find it at Aldi for $1.79 which is around a 10 mile drive...so when I'm there, I stock up! BJ's also sells it for a decent price of $1.99.
Working that hard you earned the right to stay in in your housecoat! I agree that citrus has a lovely scent.
You say that like it is a bad thing to still be in your dressing gown in the afternoon :)
Milk at Metro is over $5 - we actually buy is for just under $4 at Macs milk if you can believe that.
Back again. I needed milk today and bought a gallon at $3.99. That was Giant's own brand.
