4 down, 2 too go.......

I have been busy knitting the grands their winter hats.  Top left, Nora's, top right Nitara's, bottom left Paige's, bottom right Sammy's.  Managed to figure out how to make pom-poms which is a positive.

Got to knit Jeina's and Liam's yet.

I have also got "roped" into doing some knitting for a charity afghan using the Canada 150 pattern; I "think" that's what the pattern is called.  Anyhoo, I am doing the borders, as they are the simplest.  Mind you I also think they will take the longest too do?  Here is what I have done so far:

It's a bit hard to see, but can you see the Maple Leaf design in it?  It will be pretty when it's all done.  I am going to try and work on it this weekend.

EDITED TO ADD: THIS IS THE PATTERN HERE ON RAVERLY.  IT'S CALLED "A CANADIAN AFGHAN eh!"

What's on your needles at the moment?

Just a suggestion, could we see the other side of the border? The maple leaf is visible but might be more pronounced on the reverse.

Good work on the hats. I've got to start my Christmas socks soon.

Love the hats. I need to get started on my Christmas knitting, quilting and sewing very soon.

God bless.

I have made a start on my Christmas gifts so that I am not in a panic nearer the time.

Love the knitted hats. I belong to a knitting group and we make them for all kinds of groups for children and adults. Have you tried starting with knit a row - purl a row and just continue on. With no ribbing, it gives the edge a curl and looks cute for a girls hat. Also the 'cake yarns' are good and there's no tying or connecting colors together. Our group donated over 5,000 items last year. It's a great way to give to others. Bess from Massachusetts

Great winter hats.

Have you got a pom pom maker? They are so much quicker than making them yourself. I saw them on Kirstie Allsop's programme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwKPRuhQB1A

It's addictive & my granddaughter made a carrier bag full of them! This year think we'll make a pom pom wreath with them.
