Yarn Along - May 20th, 2015

I only have one finish this week for Yarn Along. Too see what everyone else has been up too, click on the icon above.  I completed my knitted hat for myself:
I used Martha Stewart Alpaca blend yarn I  picked up a couple of years ago in Michael's.  I would make the body of this hat a couple of inches longer as I prefer to turn up my rim like in the photo below.
I am still plowing along with the baby blanket:
and reading this book:
Also spent a few hours at The Knitting Basket on Tuesday with Angie and the gang.
Helped her get her next blog post out, you can read it here

I love the combination of colours in your hat; it strikes me as very 1930's!

Double knit murders! How funny. I wonder if they're on Kindle.

I agree with Jacquelineand. The colours in your hat are lovely. I prefer a longer hat too.

Kind of in awe of your knitting! LOVE the hat! I am not a hat person, but I would wear that one.

I can only crochet though, but thinking of starting to crochet at night (to keep myself from snacking) to make the 100 hats for Hats off to Cancer kids. I kind of promised myself I would do that. Now is the time to get started I think! LOL

Cute hat. Make sure you put it somewhere safe so you can find it when it's cold again! : )

That book is hilarious! I suppose that when you have two sharp needles, a death is rather inevitable. The hats and blanket look brilliant - well done!

Nice hat! I like the colors you chose. I've read both of those books as well as others by Maggie Sefton. I really enjoy them and hope you do too.
The blanket is coming along nicely isn't it?
Blessings,
Betsy
