Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, Hey, Hey, Goodbye.
My sewing machine is going on a much needed spa break. To relax and have a once over. Going to be gone for two weeks. I am going to miss him/her. However as I told the lady at the store it's sounding like a bag of hammers.
I have made a start on a case for sunglasses with the soldier material, but it will have to wait until I get my machine back to finish it. I have had my machine over 20 years and although there are better, lighter (weight wise) and fancier machines out there I am very comfortable with this machine.
So I guess I will be knitting up a storm over the next couple of weeks. I finished another hat, so now have two girls and one boys hat done for the grands when I see them next weekend.

You have become a knitting "machine". Great job on all of the hats. I have had my sewing machine since the first Christmas after we were married 37 years ago. My Hubby has cleaning and oiled it for me a few times and it still works great. Enjoy your time knit while you wait for your machine to return home.
Blessings,
Betsy
That looks like MY sewing machine! Well sort of....tho I don't have all those fancy buttons.
I am loving your hats....I would be lost without a sewing machine, so I know how you must be feeling. Even if I haven't sewed in a day or two, it is knowing it is there.
Ah...so talented! I haven't sewed in ages. My machine is waiting for me to make some simple alterations!
The two weeks will pass quickly as you knit away on your projects. I need to get my machine out this weekend and do a bit of sewing that I seem to have put off all winter. It's on some curtains I use in the gazebo and I guess if I had kept them out on the machine over the winter I would of got them fixed.
It's like men, the more complicated, the more they fail!
I wouldn't "trade up" on an older machine that's lasted 20 years either! That means is a good machine! Hope it's good as gold when you get it back! :) Such sweet hats!
Wow - look at you go on the knitting!! I'm getting my sewing machine out this week to help a friend out with a project. It'll need a little dusting off :)
Your sewing machine is fancy! Mine is 40 years old. Still works! Happy knitting, Gill!
I make a rule every three bobbins, I do a once over and a good oiling but things do wear out. I'm glad you have someone that can repair your machine.
Your hats are wonderful.
Thanks for visiting.
A bag of hammers. I think that's an expression that would come in very handy on many occasions!
A good excuse for knitting more for those beautiful grands, not that I think you need anye excuses :)
I told you it was addictive lol knitting is good for the soul. we all need some time away to repair and recoup. I'm sure the old girl will come back full of spunk and ready to sew up a storm
Bill can you knit me a beanie?
Gill even
I don't sew or knit, and so admire and envy anyone that can. It's great that you've got something to keep your fingers busy while your machine is getting a once (or twice) over--You know what they say about idle hands! :-)
Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
Love what you are doing with your knitting. Great job!
20 years is great. I love it when stuff is built to last. :)
Yes I would't trade an old machine in for a new one. Got mine for my 21st birthday whilst my friends got gold watches.
Made all kinds of stuff on it over the years including my wedding & bridesmaids' dresses, countless dresses for me, my daughter & granddaughters never mind all the curtains & clothes shortened. Truly a little gold mine!
I keep meaning to get it serviced but it's still going great no hammers in there at all.
