So what did I do on Monday?

As I am feeling a lot better, I decided to get some jobs done around the house.  Started off with cleaning the bathrooms, which is a typical Monday and Friday morning job.  Threw in a load of laundry.  Our laundry room is in our powder room behind two large doors, on the main floor.
I decided to do some cooking and made fishcakes, fish in parsley sauce with peas and, cauliflower and cheese sauce.  There was enough fish cakes for one meal for Monday nights supper and one meal to put in the freezer:
Prepared some fruit to put into dh's lunches and for our dessert:
Made out our menu plan.  I see I spelled parsley wrong on the menu, just couldn't be bothered to take another photo.

I posted three book reviews here of the books below in the photo.
Along with tidying up parts of the house along the way, by the time I got to the book reviews I was getting tired.  So after posting the book reviews I didn't do much.  There's always tomorrow.

Did you have a busy Monday?

Busy day for you. Hope you didn't tire yourself out to much!

It was a busy day around here too. Tons of paperwork, phone calls, appointments, shopping, laundry & a bit of cleaning to keep it as nice as it was over the weekend. Good day all around.

Yes Gill. Monday is housework day here at the cottage. I have the men well organised so we all do our bit. My tasks were to clean my bedroom and the office. Larry does the back room and breakfast room and Jim does the lounge and the dining room. I also made the dinner and they washed up. Then we all went to sleep in our chairs while the snooker was on!
Your meals look very nice. I fancy some fish cakes now.

Wow, our laundry rooms are almosst identical. Ours are also in our bathroom although we do not have doors on ours.

Your dinner sounds good. I have a can of salmon that I need to make patties with sometime soon. We love those here.

That is a lot of work! Please take it easy as you are still recovering. Rest is the only cure in most cases. Dinner sounds yummy.

I'm glad you were feeling so much better! I make salmon patties but have never made fish cakes as such... should give it a try sometime.
Love your laundry area, ours is in the basement... urgh.
Yesterday I went to the cardio, baked, did chores, and chased 4 dogs and a cat, lol.

Those fish cakes looks delicious! My partner makes Maryland crab cakes sometimes which I love. I like the idea of planning your weekly menu like that - I've never got around to doing it. I cut my grass on Monday so that was enough!

You certainly were busy. I was busy in a different way - had to go to work.

Oh my! I think you accomplished way more than I did yesterday! But, then, I had a couple of visitors, former neighbours who now live in British Columbia. So I spent most of the afternoon talking and listening. ;)

Cauliflower and cheese sauce was always a good meal.

You're a busy woman! It's so easy to feel accomplished after a day like this. And you remembered to take pictures, too. Impressive!

Send me some of your energy please.

The Koi do winter in the pond but we don't have horrible winters. The pond freezes but I leave a pole, stick or log in the water before it freezes. Any gas can escape this way.

I did not do much yesterday, but have two loads of clothes on the line, vacuumed and going to mop the kitchen here in a minute. It is so hot, the clothes could be brought in now...so will do that soon.

I have never had a fish cake either but it sounds like something I would like to try.

I usually get stuff done on Mondays, but we had worked so hard at the lake this weekend that I was toast yesterday.

Had to spend a good bit of time with Dad this morning so I am hoping an afternoon blitz session happens in the house.

Have you seen?

Nope did very little as it was a Bank Holiday. Went to a horse show to watch my granddaughter ride. Not too bad weatherwise just windy.

You have been busy. Love your laundry room

You certainly had a productive Monday!

I also enjoyed reading The Rosie Project. The sequel, The Rosie Effect, came out last year, but I haven't read it yet.

Thanks for visiting my blog. The teacup's yellow colour is very light so I can see why you didn't pick up the shade right away!
