Pretty Serious Question for you all..........

When we take our other half into clothes stores, they generally have comfy chairs for them to relax and pass the time while we do our shopping, right?  So when we accompany them to the DIY stores why is it this is the best they can do?  I got up off my "delicate" backside to take the photo.  That is my handbag on top of a pile of skids where I was parking it and my backside while waiting for dh.
Gardening season is upon us so I will be showing you what we have been up too over the following days/weeks. We got permission to put up the privacy screen, and have picked up all the bits for it taking advantage of a tax free sale at Lowes this weekend.  In the two tubs underneath the Geraniums are zucchini plants; four in total.
This corner of the deck are the rest of the veggies and herbs.
I did pick this up also:
Pineapple mint, thought it might make a nice tea?

I'm pleased to read that your privacy screen was approved - I had a nasty feeling that they may have refused it. Your herbs look nice and healthy.

beautiful plants Gill! I hate hardware/DIY stores and I always lose hubby in them.

Pineapple mint does make a wonderful tea; it's also tasty tossed into fruit salads. Looks like you have a great start on gardening season.

Taking your other half with you when buying clothes is a definite no-no !

Your pots will be twice the size in a week after all of this yummy warm weather!! I potted up my annuals yesterday and I still have to buy three hanging baskets then my deck is truly "done-up" for the summer. Happy Holiday!!

You will love the privacy screen. Looks like you have some nice veggies started off. I've got chocolate, spearmint and regular mint in the garden. Watch out because they can be invasive. A few mint leaves on top of yogurt or in a salad are really good.

Mr Him in a hardware store! The very thought! Glad to say I do not have that problem :)

The patio looks pretty.

That's great you get to put up the privacy screen. That is so funny about the seating! Several months ago I went with DH to a gun store....I was surprised to see a nice couch and chair with a coffee station, LOL.

The new look to your blog looks good.

I know what you mean about a place to rest...even some of the quilt shops have a place for men to set.

So glad you got to permission to do your deck the way you wanted. I would not have enjoyed sitting there at all beforehand.

Not that many comfy chairs in France in clothes stores..... Tell us about the pineapple mint tea when you've made some; it sounds delish !xx

Your privacy screen will be a great addition and I'm sure you're going to love it. the beginnings of your garden look great also. I've got my green beans planted and have been harvesting rhubarb for a month or so.
I know exactly what you mean about a place to sit in the home improvement stores. I've been known to park it right on a pile of floor tiles! :-)
Blessings,
Betsy

I usually park myself in the garden section on the oudoor furniture or on the single chair by the magazines. Glad you got your screen approved -- looking forward to watching your garden grow!
