Hello 2014.......

Well a new year is here.  Didn't see the New Year in, never do.  Gone are the years where we partied until after midnight.  We went out for dinner instead and came back home and watched a movie.  Did receive some bad news that a lady whose family we know very well had passed away yesterday.  Expected but very sad all the same.  That is two ladies in their 90's that have passed in the last couple of weeks.  Hopefully there is not a third!

I haven't really set any goals for 2014 other than hoping we sell the house.  January will be a very busy month completing all the jobs ready to put the house up for sale.  Mind you if the weather continues to be this cold and snowy we may have to delay putting it on the market.

The only other goal for this year is to go away on vacation in September, whether that happens or not depends on whether we sell the house.  We do have my mam and step-father coming over in May for three weeks, as they want to see Miss Nora.  Dh and I would also like to spend as much time with Miss Nora and our Little Princess.

What goals if any do you have for 2014?

Gill,
Happy New Year to you and your family.
I really hope you sell your house fast so you can get on with the next phase of your lives.
Have you started to look around where it is you are going to move to?
All the best!!!!

Happy New Year! I am sorry to hear of your sad news. I hope that 2014 is a good one for you. My other half and I have given each other resolutions this year and mine is to make sure the iPad is kept on charge!

Nasty new years's news, for sure. Sorry about your losses. But the grandchildren and a vacation are certainly things to make you smile. Good luck with selling your house - I did that last year and honestly don't want to go through THAT again! (I'm sure your process will be MUCH smoother!)
Happy New Year!

If you get the house sold, will you be moving closer to the grands? I hope so....I so hate that Lo is two hours away from us. No just running by for a few minutes.

You are moving? Why? after all your hard work! My goodness, perhaps you are moving to be near the grandchildren, now you have two. I haven't seen pics of Nora yet, but I'm hunting through your blog right now. An exciting year ahead methinks.
