You might think I am daft, but I thought this thing was scary

We went to Lowes the other day and this display was outside. Even from a distance I wasn't impressed with that big black thing.
Closer up I didn't feel any better.  Do you think it's supposed to be the grim reaper?  I personally wouldn't go any where near it.
This is more my thing, this display that was parked outside of Sobeys.  Very fall like and not scary!!!
There are a couple of good deals at Sobey's this week.  When you buy this participating Quaker products you get a free 4 litre bag of Natrel milk.  Also when you buy Chapmans frozen yogurt, you get a box of frozen yogurt treats free.  Also have you seen the Jamie Oliver products in store?  I am saving the stamps for them, as I like them; click on the link to see them here.  I want the small bowls as they will be handy.

Wow, wish we had a Sobeys!

Ella hates this time of year. She would never have gone any where the Lowe's door.

I can't stand any blow up decorations! Your Sobeys store has a lovely display.

I saw that decoration in our Lowes, like you, I don't really like that sort of thing. Your second photo is much more to my liking.

I love the tractor display. we have an antique tractor out behind the shed. I think the man should haul it out and let me do a fall display too.
I'm disappointed in Jamie Oliver. I think he has sold out to the big guys. Endorsing a big company was NOT his cuppa tea, now he's switched shoes.

I am much more into the fall look than the scary halloween look. And truthfully I can't stand those blow up things, one of the neighbors has one for each holiday and I cant tell you the number of times they have scared me blowing in the wind when I get home from work.

I am more the mums(which I replant of course) and my scarecrows with some pumpkins. Im good to go with that!

I'm another one who prefers the autumn theme rather than halloween. When we were kids halloween was all about candy and dressup. Now the focus seems to have changed to blood, guts, and horror. Yuk!

Oo, I love the Sobeys display, it has real class and warmth. The other one just looks tacky.

All the stores are starting to put up the Halloween decorations. I can't say it is one of my favorite times of the year, never has been.

I am with you, that black thing is very ominous, and we like Jamie Oliver and his tv shows and have one of his books; I would like to see some of his cooking supplies, pans, etc.
