Making do with what you have & home of the Week

What do you do when you have a bunch of broccoli, a tub of garlic cream cheese and one pastry shell, you make a quiche of course!!!
Had it with Greek salad and cheese and broccoli rice on Thursday night.  It was good and there is enough left over for tonight's supper.  Think we'll have it with baked potatoes tonight.

This week's "Home of the Week," is very bright and modern, which of course translates to pricey and at $6.85 million it is indeed pricey.  They seem to have forgotten to take out the posts in the living room that you normally use when constructing the building?  Parts of it seem to be unfinished, but I guess it's all to do with that "modern feel," they're going for.  Thankfully it will never be a house I could afford and even if I could, I would still pass!

This week's "Condo of the Week," doesn't appeal to me at all.  Though it looks better inside than it does from the outside. I am confused as to why it's $2.5 million, but the comments seem to think its a good price?  Glad I don't have that kind of money to waste on a condo like that then!

I love quiche and I would be afraid to live in fancy places like those, I like not worrying about keeping up with the neighbours. Have a nice weekend. B
(no I did not buy anything)

We are going back to how we ourselves were brought up: Roast beef on day one, stew day two (left overs) and if there is any left, freeze it for the next time! I don't know how it happened that be felt guilty if we had the same sort of meat two days running, bought cheaper joints (often the tastiest) or have beans on toast for tea! We lived like this and were active and slim. I actually enjoy the challenge of stretching things..and I enjoy the money I save lol Your quiche looks lovely..might add it to next weeks menu!

The house has too much orange for me...looks like a 1970s office.

Looks yummy!

Good grief I wouldn't have that house given to me, it's hideous.Looks like an overgrown garden shed!

Wow! those are some pretty hefty property prices! I know we are looking to move back into the city and it is very pricey even for the tiniest little house...who cleans these mini mansions?! :)
I guess they can afford to hire a maid.
Have a lovely weekend!

Would you believe, I don't think I have ever made a quiche? I may have one time when we were first married, but that is it. I need to try it sometimes...just the name alone sounds good.

As for the home and the condo...I just do not like a single thing about the home...so will just not comment farther.

I like the condo okay...not in love with it but would sure take it over the home of the week.

Neither the house or condo interest me...even if I had the money.

Your broccoli dish though looks to die for! :))
