Is a pie sexy? And home of the week......

I got the November edition of Chatelaine magazine on Thursday.  One of the "headlines" on the front cover was: "the easiest (sexiest) Pumpkin Pie."  Since when has a pie been "sexy?"  A pie may be delicious, tasty, lovely, but sexy?

This week's "Home of the Week," isn't too bad.  Overpriced of course at $1.2 million, but overall I could live there, minus the art work of course!!!!  I love the backyard.  Don't see the point of having that deck on the third floor do you?

The "Condo of the Week," is way overpriced for what it is. At $1.2 million it also doesn't make full use of its space.  The whole master suite is a total waste of space, who on earth needs that much room?  Love some of those windows and the whole place does seem light and airy which is in its favour.

No, that is not how I would describe a pie! Enjoyed looking at the homes, always fun to see how other people decorate their homes.

Many say "Sex in a Pan" is better then having sex, so maybe the same applies to this Pumpkin Pie? Hahaha

I have to laugh because I have seen and heard of a lot of people refer to food as sexy lately!! And I frankly think they are out of their ever loving minds!! haha!! I agree with you... food is not sexy!

Oh my goodness, Gil! This is possibly my biggest pet peeve now! Everything under the sun is being called sexy now: cars, kitchens, purses, etc. It's ridiculous. It's a word I've never liked. Not because I'm a prude, but because it truly objectifies a thing/person sexually. What's sexy mean: sexually attractive. What's that mean? Something/someone that incites the desire to have sex with it/him/her. When you look at it that way, calling pies, cars, kitchens and everything else out there sexy it's absurd! Does anyone even call people sexy anymore? It seems everyone -- male or female -- is hot now. *shrug* anyway, sexy pie UGH!

If pie is sexy I don't think I would vote pumpkin pie as the one. Maybe something with cherries and chocolate?

Never thought of a pie as being sexy either.

I think that is my favorite home of the week that I have seen so far....did not like a single piece of the artwork, though. And I bet the money put in it would be a hefty sum.

The condo just seems sterile to me...never could think of that word and it finally came to me. Sterile. Yep, that is the word.

Re Gutermann thread, I have used it in just regular sewing and liked it fine. Haven't tried it for free-motion quilting.

I saw that magazine this morning, and my reaction was the same. UGH. It's not enough these days to just bake something that's delicious?
