Our desktop computer is playing up, and when I say playing up, it is having a real temper tantrum. I am using it at the moment, but it is very unstable..........like most of us I guess!! So I need to back everything up and then take everything off of it and start afresh. One little problem with that, I have no clue how to do it. So will have to wait until dh has some time so he can do it.
Meanwhile it's fingers crossed that nothing else happens. Luckily I do have my laptop and that seems to be working fine at the moment.
I watched the Westminster Kennel Club 2011 Dog Show on tv last night. There were some weird looking dogs, actually it was just the way they were groomed. I was surprised at the dog that won, a Scottish Deerhound. Can't say I am familiar with the breed, are you? Here is a photo of the winner:
Another birthday today, my mother's. Poor thing is as sick as a dog with this rotten cold that is going around. Pleased to say I can't be blamed for it, as I live on the other side of the pond; my brother gave it to her!!! Here's hoping she has a lovely day!
Ended up finishing off this post on my laptop as the desktop keeps freezing!!
***Edited to add the dog show was on TSN***

No. I'm not familiar with the deerhound. I suppose it does what its name suggests, hounds deer!
You seem to get a lot of British programmes on your TV.
I can never find anything on the TV over here. By the time I find something to watch, it's over. I cannot get to grips with the way the TV programmes are listed in the U.S.
When I was younger I had a farm neighbour that had one. I loved that dog. I remember that it was all leg...very long legs. And, as I was short it was higher than my waist.
who broadcast that...I, too, can never find anything on tv...
Happy Birthday to your mum!

Happy birthday to your mom, I hope she feels better soon...and I hope your computer feels better soon too!
As for the scottish deerhound, it is the first time I hear about that breed too!
Hmmm I saw no mention of that dog show on our TV. I would have liked to see the Deerhound even though I've never heard of it before. Perhaps the Scots keep them away from the English. Hope you get the computer fixed without too much hassle.
It looks like an Irish Wolfhound with a haircut...but I guess as there are no wolves in Ireland or the UK then the dogs have to do something else!!

No, I haven't heard of the Scottish Deerhound before but he looks a beautiful dog. Sorry for your computer problems. Happy Birthday to your Mum and I hope she gets over that nasty cold very fast.
Nice looking dog. My absolute favorite dog though is an English Spring Spaniel. Love those dogs.
Thanks for linking Nicholas to your blog. Isn't he a sweetie. Hugs
Nice doggy! Big doggy! LOL!
I have a separate "Seagate" 350Gb drive that is attached to my pc and plugs in to a USB port. Ususally its turned off. I only turn it on every so many weeks and copy all my files onto it (auto-replaces existing files) then turn it off to minimise any contamination by pc viruses.
No, not familiar with the Scottish deerhound. Sorry your mom has a cold...they are no fun at any age.
