Still Walking.........

I have too as I have put on around 6 lbs............bad, bad me.  So I need to take control before it goes completely out of control.

Mind you there is nothing like a walk when it's as humid as heck out there.  You come home soaked through sweating like a pig.  Though ladies don't sweat do they; they perspire!!

Last week I only walked 16 miles which is nothing, so far this week I have walked over 7 miles, so I need to keep up that up and get back on the ball watching what I eat.

One of my biggest downfalls, is granola bars and eating on a night.  I also don't drink enough water.  So I am going to try and see if I can lose 2 lbs by the end of the month.  I think it's doable, as long as I keep walking!!!

Are you all still walking despite it being hot and humid?

Sorry, Gill, in these parts horses sweat, gentlemen perspire and ladies merely glow. And whatever idiot made up that saying knew nothing about this summer.

Ha, horses sweat, men perspire, ladies glow

According to my 90 yr old British grandmother

But I live in southern Ontario and I would go with the original ‘sweating like a pig’ this summer lol

I wish you great success, I have 20 to lose,, I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroid autoimmune disease and that was why I gained the weight, now I'm on meds its should help but apparently I will have to watch what I eat for ever and a day lol,, good luck to us both,,

I lost over 20 pounds after I had my knee replacement in January. But I'm not walking enough to lose any more. It is too hot and too buggy where I live in the bush country on the fringe of Algonquin Park.

I walk every day regardless. I make sure in the humid days that I'm keeping hydrated.

I always tried to walk in the afternoon, but if it's raining, or hot.... it's a failure. I read that early morning walking is for weight loss. Time to change up the routine, methinks.

I would also like to shed some pounds and need to walk more. My downfall is consuming lots of ice cream to beat the heat! Ha!

Thanks for the visit.

I have been trying to walk every day, even if it is a little bit, but like you say it is very humid. My partner, Dave and I are both on a diet, he is unhappy with his belly, (middle age spread), he really is not over weight. Me I have been steadily gaining this year, so we both decided last Tuesday to do go on a diet. We weighed ourselves this morning, Dave lost 3.4 lbs, and I lost 3.8 lbs. very happy with those numbers.
Keep cool
Patricia

Good for you for walking in this heat. Ihad knee surgery 2 weeks ago so I’m slowly getting used to walking again. Can’t wait till I can get back to my daily walking outside.

Still walking here, but I make sure I get out by 7:30 in the morning and back home by no later than 8:30. Then I try and take a short walk in the cool of the evening as well.

God bless.

I walk , then run from deer flies. William admit I am not walking as far. Took up my bike again. Like you a few pounds a month would be wonderful.
