Month end check in for walking.......

January has been a bit "hitty, missy" with my walking, partly due to the weather, partly due to not being bothered about doing it...........hey at least I'm honest right?

I did manage to walk 114.75 miles though, so did make my goal; only by walking nearly 38 miles last week.  Honestly though I should have been able to do at least 140 miles as it was a long month.  My biggest disappointment though is I only ended up losing 2 1/2 lbs in January, so am down 35 1/2 lbs in total.  I bought a big bag of black licorice and proceeded to eat the whole 750g bag over the course of three days!!!  Black licorice is as bad as chocolate for me, so no more buying that!  However it does help me go to the bathroom!!!  So I guess that's a bonus.

My goal for February is to walk the 100 miles and lose 5 1/2 lbs, which is an extra 1 1/2 lbs which I didn't lose in January.  So I need to walk at least 3.5 miles every day in February.

How did you do?

I don't change my behaviour magically in January. And, I give myself permission to fall off the proverbial wagon.
Each day is a new day!
I try to work out each morning, unless we have a bit trip, like our recent one to Amherst Isl. It seems to work out for me.

I've always wondered what people see in black licorice. :)

I'm still not eating refined sugar or any snack food. When I'm hungry between meals I turn to unsalted unroasted nuts. Not very exciting but satisfying. I am a huge fan of black licorice as well but it's off my list for now. Winter roads are no fun for walking so it's not a surprise your miles were harder to attain.
