I don't talk about politics normally........

but just wanted to let you know that here in Canada, we are going to have another general election in May, as the morons we all elected last time couldn't play nicely together and had a big fight and are not speaking nicely to one another anymore.

Now this will be the fourth election in seven years.  Goodness knows how much it will cost this time.  What a waste of OUR money, money that could have been spent on something useful.  The media is reporting that the cost of the four elections is around 1 billion dollars.

I was really ticked off when the budget was being read that two of the three opposition leaders left during the finance ministers speech to condemn the budget and say they were against it.  The guy hadn't even finished the speech?  Did their mother's not teach them any manners?

Regardless, they are all a bunch of crooks and the only losers in all of this, is the general public..........

Right that's my thoughts on this, and that is all you're hear from me regarding this!!!

Still bitter cold here, but we do have clear sunny skies so that sort of helps.

Thought I'd share a couple more photos from Friday.  Makes me shiver just looking at the ice.

This is a close up of part of the old bridge.  I was surprised to see a tree growing on it.

Politics is certainly disheartening these days. Same here. So on to the really important things, LOL, like trying to keep my hairs under control all day Sunday! And I need to find time to cover up the windows in the parsonage till I can get curtains up. Busy, busy day. Take care. ~Liz

Lovely cold shots!
The photos, too! :-)
My SIL is running for the Greens. He's a keener. He was in the lock up studying the budget all day. It was a horrible budget.
Too bad they can't amend it and all get along. I often write about politics. Good to get one's brain around the issues.

I agree, those two are like two year olds at the best of times. In fact I've seen better behaved two year olds. Even with all of that I just hope that everyone gets out and votes. Hgs

One sure way to get depressed is to think about politics... so I try not to.

I just wish politicians had to live by the same rules we run our homes with.......

However DH and eldest son did their bit and have just left to help count ballot papers.

I just wish our coalition would fall out and we could have an election too. They are a shower with no idea about what life is like for ordinary people. Let's face it they are from elite rich families who have never had to do without.

You really set the ball rolling there Gill!

Hope your weather improves soon, for the moment it's gorgeous here. The sun has brought out all the spring flowers. Still there's time yet for snow and ice!

I feel sorry for that tree. I really do. I can feel it shivering...
I agree about the politics. They are all after my money, but they've taken so much of it over the years that there is now nothing left!

When they show the sitting of parliament in our country it looks like a big day-care centre with the politicians being the children.

Well, on a good note, we are fortunate to live in a country where we are not persecuted for our political beliefs, where we do not have to risk our lives just to vote and where wars don't break out over election results. However, I do not consider it a show of intelligence on the part of politicians to call an election when polls clearly show that minority government will win the election to become a majority government and the budget will go through as-is anyhow?
