Are you like me.........

 

I am not sure whether I am coming or going with all that is going on in the world at the moment?  I could say a lot more but don't want to be drawn into a debate regarding politics...............

No amount of money would make me want to do this..........

Here in Ontario/Canada, we have had a new budget released from both the Provincial and Federal Governments this past week.  Neither has benefited hubby or I personally.  As with all things, some things we agree with, some we don't.

Now, that is where this blog post title comes into play.  Would you want to be a politician?  I know I wouldn't because to my mind no one is ever happy with everything you do.  There is always someone complaining about what you have, or have not done.  There is never enough money to pay for everything........mind you that doesn't seem to stop them from spending money willy-nilly.

We were brought up to only spend what we have, and if we have to borrow money (i.e. mortgage) you have a plan of action on how to repay the money?  We were brought up not to lie.  So I am guessing I would make a terrible politician 😏

I wonder why people want to be politician's?  

And the mudslinging begins............

On August the 2nd 2015,  Prime Minister Stephen Harper requested writs of election for a federal general election from Governor General David Johnston.  Basically Parliament was dissolved until the general election on October 19th 2015.

I have mixed feelings about all of this.  The thought of all the mudslinging for the next couple of months, does not sit well with me.  During this time I am guessing squat all will get done re: the Government.  And finally, I have no faith in any of them for the first time in a long, long time.

I guess it could be worse, we could have Donald Trump running for Prime Minister..........

Despite assurances this isn't going to cost the tax payer, I DON'T BELIEVE THEM!!!  {{{SIGH}}}

That's all I have to say politically..........back to my usual topics tomorrow!

Finally because this always makes me smile........

I don't talk about politics normally........

but just wanted to let you know that here in Canada, we are going to have another general election in May, as the morons we all elected last time couldn't play nicely together and had a big fight and are not speaking nicely to one another anymore.

Now this will be the fourth election in seven years.  Goodness knows how much it will cost this time.  What a waste of OUR money, money that could have been spent on something useful.  The media is reporting that the cost of the four elections is around 1 billion dollars.

I was really ticked off when the budget was being read that two of the three opposition leaders left during the finance ministers speech to condemn the budget and say they were against it.  The guy hadn't even finished the speech?  Did their mother's not teach them any manners?

Regardless, they are all a bunch of crooks and the only losers in all of this, is the general public..........

Right that's my thoughts on this, and that is all you're hear from me regarding this!!!

Still bitter cold here, but we do have clear sunny skies so that sort of helps.

I don't talk about politics or religion, however......

I just wanted to remind the Canadian citizens out there that today is Election Day, so don't forget to vote. We are fortunate that we live in a country where we can vote, so don't waste that privilege, and anyway, if you vote it gives you the right to whine when they break their pre-election promises, now doesn't it, because we all know they will, which ever party gets into power?
