It's one of those days/night where I have nothing much to say..........

so I guess I will just ramble on about nothing as per usual.

Molly's ears have stopped smelling....yeah for that.  I feed her twice a day, most days.  No specific time, just when her bowl is empty.  I have discovered she likes to have something to eat before she goes to bed, but other than that it's whenever she is hungry.  Luckily she has dry food, so it doesn't go off, and it's lucky she doesn't have a housemate that is also a dog!!!

Here she is on "her" side of the sofa, which actually makes a change, as she normally takes up half of dh's side as well!!

Yes she is spoiled!!

Going to get my Christmas turkey today at No Frills, as they have them on for 77 cents per pound.  I don't think I have ever seen them that cheap in Canada?  Now granted they are Utility Turkey's which means it could be missing a leg or a wing, or the skin may be torn....basically rejects.......but they taste as good as the regular turkeys.  Might have something to do with all the butter I slather on the top of the breast, and all the bacon I skewer on the top as well!!  Hey, in for a penny, in for a pound as they say!!

Gosh this post is boring, I'm sorry, hopefully tomorrow will be better!!

Not so boring. I had not thought of putting bacon on the turkey. That will also keep it moist Thanks!

OOh No Frills turkeys? I might check that out see if it's the same deal here. Thanks for the tip. I can handle a missing leg but as long as it isn't too ugly! That would be wrong.

That dog looks soooooo comfortable. She is so sweet and kind looking and loves her owners, I'm sure. Swollen ears? why?
Yes, we always put bacon on top of the turkey. I think streaky works best because there's more fat in it but it's a personal preference too of course. Hmmmm I could just eat a slice of turkey right now.

I wouldn't mind a one legged turkey, what a great idea! xxx

WOW 77 cents a lb. is great for turkey. I remember years ago you use to be able to get it for 59 cents a lb. and once in awhile 39 cents a lb. That of course was years ago!! Hugs

A boring post? Not when there is a furry creature in it!

That is cheap for a turkey and I'm with you, it's not just because they're 'rejects' that they don't taste good!

I'm glad that Molly's ears are better!

I think any turkey can taste the best when you put love into the cooking process :)
Bacon, yep never thought of that either!
Not so boring I'd say, you seem to have a way of sharing without knowing ;)

I thought there was lots going on here. I'm glad Mollie's ears are sorted...she must be happier, too.

I agree on utility turkeys. Who cares about a missing wing? Does anyone really want to eat that part?

We put bacon on our turkey as well, and everyone fights over it as the bird is being carved.

You dog and my cat have a lot in common; taking over the couch and eating at will. God bless them.

I was thinking to get my turkey at No Frills this weekend as well. Might pick up an extra for that price - we always look for the smallest ones too. I may try the bacon thing too - bacon makes anything better right?

I feed my dog at two specific times duringthe day - 8am and 4pm - that way I have her on a schedule for going out to do her business. This is especially important when I work. She is also on dry food, but I often mix in some warm tap water as a treat. She acts like it is completely different food.
