Telephone Conversation.............

Daughter: "I wonder if I should annoy your today?"

Me: "Why?"

Daughter: "I am in HomeSense and I am looking at Christmas Crackers for Boxing Day.  They have a set with Kazoo's in them and music so you can play tunes; do you think I should get them."

Me: "As we are not facetiming you can't see my face, but by the tone of my voice, can you guess what I think!"

Daughter........laughing her socks off.

Me: "If you can't guess, ask the girls what they think my reaction would be to them!!"

There will be four children, 12, 9, 7 and 4 there, plus an adult, who will encourage said children to annoy the crap out of me with those bloody Kazoo's!!!  The other adults, will have more sense!!

Update: Daughter bought other Christmas crackers......guess she values her life...just saying!

Now you see it......

 Now you don't........

I had a couple of jobs to do on Boxing Day and one was to dismantle the tree.  Hubby wasn't working and I knew I would struggle to carry that tree downstairs, so I wanted that put away while he was home.  The rest of the decorations will be taken down through the rest of the week.

Another job was to strip the turkey and make stock.  We had our Christmas meal at our son's house.  I always bring the turkey carcass home with us, as they would just throw it out.
The little red man really works, it saves the pan from boiling over.

I plan on doing diddly squat now for the rest of the day!!

Thank you all for the Christmas wishes and I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.

Before and After

First let me say I generally put up our Christmas decorations after Remembrance Day; so by mid-November.  By Boxing Day I am over it ...LOL  This year we are not hosting anything, nor expecting anyone.  As hubby was back at work on Boxing Day I decided to go from this:

Too this.  Now mind you I have not stripped the place down to give it a good clean.  It only got a quick clean.  I will strip the place down next week.
I do believe you should leave something up until the 12th night, so am leaving the small tree out until then.  I will remove it on January 6th.  It's not that big that it will get in the way and along with the Christmas arrangement it looks pretty.  Also I have enough bad luck without creating anymore by packing away all the Christmas things😊

When do you take down your decorations?

Wasp's nest............

Can you see it? There it is peeking in between the leaves....... We go walking past this tree quite often and never noticed it until a coup...
