I finally got it back from Michael's just before we left for vacation.
I went for a plain frame as the cross stitch itself is so busy. It cost just under $145 to have it framed and that was with a 60% discount! However it does look good, and they did "stitch it" at the back so it came out all even. I am very pleased with it. It's just a shame it will be hidden away until next November, but I am not a fan of having Christmas things up year round.

I do love this one! Paying to have it framed was definitely the right way to go. It's something you will enjoy putting on display for years to come.
It's delightful and I say, hang it up anyway.
It looks beautiful. It will give you pleasure for many years to come.
Frames and mats are expensive. I remember my husband bought a print for under $10 for his Dad. His brother said he'd get it framed before they gave it to him. He spent nearly $500! And was very prompt in demanding my husband pay his share.
Your finish looks fab! Love the frame choice too. Framing isn't cheap but I think when all the time and effort has gone into a piece It's worth paying the price to have a good job done.
That looks lovely.
All the best Jan
Nicely done. Matting and framing are very expensive.
God bless.
It is beautiful. I really enjoyed all of the 'in progress' shots you shared. Yeah, it's hard to hide it away, but it will mean that much more when you pull it out at Christmas next year!
Beautiful! Wow, that framing is expensive. I did teach myself some lacing of the back and pinning. I'm getting better at it, but not as good as the framers at Michaels!
It looks lovely. A job well done
This is one of the cutest I've seen! I have to get something framed professionally soon and it's big. Not looking forward to it!
