Everyone's blog is personal to them. How you set up your blog, how you post on your blog etc., is up to you. There are no rules you need to stick too, individuality rules to my mind. I do have a number of questions that I would like to ask, as I think the answers will be interesting. Feel free to copy and paste the questions over onto your own blog, as we all have different readers of our blogs.
How often do you publish a blog post?
I try to post on a daily basis when I am blogging. But will admit I get burnt out after a while trying to think of new things to post about.
Do you prepare blog posts ahead of time?
Yes, especially when I know I am going to be busy or away. As you are reading this we have just come back from vacation!
Do you limit the length of your blog post?
I try to. I find I lose interest in a blog post when reading others if it's too long. I think if I can read it in a couple of minutes I'm good.
Do you always need to add a photo or a graphic to your blog post?
Not always, as I find you either want to read what I say or you don't. Photos are good but not necessary.
Do you like to add links to blog posts, so people can gather more information?
I do when appropriate, because I love learning something new. I always think two sets of eyes are better than one, when looking for things.
Do you try to stick to one theme on your blog?
I don't; it's what ever I am thinking about at the time.
What do you wish you could do with your blog?
I would love to print all mine out to make a book to give to the grandkids, to remember me by,
Have you made many friends in the blog world, since you started blogging and have you met them in person?
Yes, loads. I have only met a couple in person though.
What do you avoid talking about on your blog?
Religion and politics. I will occasionally mention politics, but rarely if ever religion. Both are like walking in a minefield and I don't need people arguing with me about it on my blog.
If you have other questions, add yours.........I am looking forward to reading your answers.

Thanks, I'll post it on mine when I get chance 🙂
How often do you publish a blog post?
I try to do every other day, but sometimes I forget and sometimes I fall asleep before I get around to it lol
Do you prepare blog posts ahead of time?
No, I'm not that organised lol.
Do you limit the length of your blog post?
Not really. The posts aren't usually that long. I blog about daily life and mine is not that exciting lol
Do you always need to add a photo or a graphic to your blog post?
Yes. It's just a thing I do. I love taking photos so that part is easy
Do you like to add links to blog posts, so people can gather more information?
Not generally.
Do you try to stick to one theme on your blog?
It's about everyday life, so sort of. Otherwise, it's more like a personal diary than anything.
What do you wish you could do with your blog?
Be a bit more organised. I'd like it to be more about photos and nature than anything, but I think that might have to be another blog.
Have you made many friends in the blog world, since you started blogging and have you met them in person
I would like to think some of the regulars are blog friends. I like to read about their lives and what they get up to. I'm an introvert so blog reading friends work for me.
What do you avoid talking about on your blog?
I don't talk about religion and politics. I don't really want to read about them either. Blogging, and reading blogs, is an escape from that sort of thing.
Thanks Sharon, I enjoyed reading your answers.......
Good questions Gill. 1. I try to post three times a week now. When I first started my blog I thought it was necessary to post every single day and finally I realized it was getting too difficult to come up with something to say that often - or at least something even remotely interesting to post about.
2. I generally start working on the next blog post after I hit 'publish' on the current one.
3, I try to somewhat limit the length but not always. Depends on whether I add a rant to the post along with the normal things I include.
4. I try to add a photo or graphic to all my posts simply because I think it makes it more interesting. Mostly I'm posting pictures of what I've been working on or if it's only something like a recipe I have a couple clip art graphics I use.
5. I always add links to things I've found interesting around the internet world. People seem to enjoy them so I continue with them. Usually I try to come up with four.
6. There's no theme to my blog because it depends on what I'm working on at any given time. Sometimes it's knitting, or crocheting, or landscapes, or a recipe.
7. I wish I could figure out how to put easy-use categories in the blog header like I see some bloggers have. I have the labels down the side but I'd like to have just three or four 'sections' across the top to make it easier for readers to find things.
8. I consider a number of the people I've met through my blog to be friends and have actually met three of them in person. That was such fun and I wish I could meet more.
9. I try to avoid too much religion and politics on my blog although I have to say in recent months a few more of my quotes are leaning towards being political. It's a fine line between totally ignoring the state of the world right now and acknowledging that we're in trouble. Having said that, much as I would like to rant about what's happening I refuse to go there and instead rely on people far more famous than me to provide the odd quote as a nod to the problems.
Interesting answers, thanks for participating...............
Thanks for sharing your process.
-How often do you publish a blog post? Less than 10 times monthly, at least this year.
-Do you prepare blog posts ahead of time? Right now I have 45 draft posts but I usually write about whatever I'm thinking about currently.
-Do you limit the length of your blog post? Yes. TLDR is a definite blog issue.
-Do you always need to add a photo or a graphic to your blog post? Always. ---Do you like to add links to blog posts, so people can gather more information? Sometimes I overdo this option.
-Do you try to stick to one theme on your blog? Sort of...my aim is to share my thinking and encouraging thinking.
What do you wish you could do with your blog? I like your idea of publishing it. I also wish we had more customizable design options and could insert gifs.
-Have you made many friends in the blog world, since you started blogging and have you met them in person? Friends yes...meet in person...not yet, sigh.
-What do you avoid talking about on your blog? My career as an educator. However, recently I'm venturing into this topic more. I don't share family pics without consent.
One more question for you...do you have a blog comment best practice?
thanks for sharing your answers. I don't understand your question though: One more question for you...do you have a blog comment best practice? What is a "blog comment best practice?" I have never heard of that before?
I pretty much agree with you.
I try to post as a often as I can. But sometimes nothing happens or I’m just too busy.
I love the book idea. I just hope one day my granddaughters will find the blogs I have and they will read them and get to know just who their grandmother was and how she spent her days
I do try to publish something every day, but when on holidays or feeling ill that might not happen. I have not prepared any posts ahead of time, but that sounds like a good idea. Try to add a picture to each post, but that doesn't always happen. My blog is about my life, the frugal, thrifty way I try to live it, and now my path towards a more simple life.
God bless.
I hope your grand daughters find your blogs also, it's a great way for the next generation to remember us by.
I like preparing ahead of time, so that it's one thing less to think about. Plus if I don't write it down while I remember I will forget what I wanted to write about!!
