He went to the chiropractor yesterday as he had hurt his shoulder when he fell. Got his shoulders adjusted and he said he felt a bit better.
His left hand is still sore and the chiropractor reckons he has torn his tendon(s) or was it ligament(s) in his hand? So we'll give it the rest of this week and then another trip to the doctor will be in order I think.
If anyone else has had this problem would a hand brace be helpful? Like the one you wear when you have carpal tunnel. I was thinking it would restrict his movement in his hand and let it heal?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated..........

Alternating heat and ice, take anti-inflammatories, and wearing a brace when sleeping. It allows the hand to rest when the body does without being a huge bother... that's the regimen my chiro put me on and it worked a treat.
I have no recommendation to make other than going to see a doctor sooner. Sending healing vibes to your hubby...
So sorry dh is still in pain. Jacquelineand"s advice seems good.
Yep, to the heat and ice and brace at night...and ibuprofen is wonderful for inflammation. We like it better than Tylenol.
Hope the pain goes away soon.
I hurt soft tissues in back of hand last Christmas - braces were tried for a month with no effect. I then had two cortisone injections with a fortnight inbetween each directly into back of hand - it worked really well and I was better within two weeks.
Did he go for shoulder x-rays, that could show something. Also, heat and ice a good suggestion, along with anti inflammatory for the pain. Bess
hope he gets better soon, If he is like mine he wants to work!!!
I'm so sorry your husband is still in pain. I was put on ibuprofen after my surgery for inflammation, but only for a couple of weeks. I was told it can do major kidney and liver damage so I've been switched to Tylenol. I hope your DH is much better very soon.
Blessings,
Betsy
Hope your husband finds some relief soon!
It'll take it's sweet time sadly. But it will get better, if that's any consolation?
It looks like you're getting good advice thus far.
So sorry that your DH is still in pain. I hope it disappears soon and am glad he is getting some relief. I would think that wearing the brace when he was sleeping would be a great idea.
God bless.
I'm sorry to hear about your hubby's injury. Sending quick healing vibes!
Well I've been missing in blogland for quite some time and did not know your husband hurt himself. I'm so sorry. I hope he gets better soon.
About politics...I feel the same as you. I can't stand the mudslinging. Don't tell me what he's done, tell me what you can do, and don't LIE! AUGH! I've lost faith as well. And we do have Donald Trump running for Pres!

yes, he should see the dr. sooner than later. My son tore ligaments in his ankle and it required surgery so with that as a possibility I wouldn't wait so long that it could get worse.
Poor hubby. Rest is best. Yes a doctor visit it a must. I hope he feels better soon. Xx
Strained ligaments and tendons can heal with rest. Torn ones may need surgery. Does he have good movement in all 5 digits? If his shoulder does not improve he should see a doctor and possibly get an X-ray. Physical therapy can help improve mobility in a shoulder that has had serious damage.
