Message, Smurfette and a little finish........

Got this message from the Property Maintenance office:

Please find attached the Garden Stake System notice regarding garden maintenance.
The wooden garden stakes can be picked up at the PM office, or from the garden guys directly. Please note that for safety reasons, the grounds crew should not be approached directly. Please ask for assistance from a worker wearing a shirt with a collar only.

My question is, are only the workers with collar's trained to talk to regular folks and the other guys not????  The message makes the poor guys sound as though they are wild animals!!! They are not, they are all lovely guys who just want to get on with their jobs, and what this message is trying to say, don't keep nagging at them as that way they can't get their work done!!

Dd called me on Monday night to tell me Our Little Munchkin got into the pantry cupboard and got hold of the blue food colouring. Ran into the living room with it and got blue food colouring all over the ottoman. She also got it all over her face, so she looks like a Smurf. Luckily dd has got the food colouring out of her ottoman and son-in-law wisely took Our Little Munchkin downstairs out of dd way!!!

I was trying so hard not to laugh, or say been there done that and have the t-shirt!!! Part of the cleaning kit she used had a fabric spray so she used that and said it smelled lovely. I told her it was some sort of calming scent to stop the owners having a melt down when something like this happens!!  So we should now rename Our Little Munchkin and start calling her Smurfette!!

I have been working on my little cross stitch project and finally got it finished on Tuesday.  It's not only cute but useful:
I need to iron it when I next have the iron out to straighten it out a bit.

The story of the blue food colouring made me laugh, but only because it din't happen in my home, lol. Glad she managed to get it out!

The notice makes the guys without collars to be armed and dangerous :-O

love the cute owl scissor keep :-)

I laughed thinking of your little munchkin. My son got two bottles of nail polish and was smashing them together. Before I could get to him one broke. He had the clear one and a red one. Guess which one broke! Lol yes all been there
Love the cross stitch. Very clever xx

What an adorable wee owl! LOL, your Smurfette tale reminds me of the time when my daughter, who was then two, got ahold of my SCARLET lipstick. I thought she was bleeding to death at first!

I hope they took pictures of The Little Munchkin in Smurfette Costume... Hahaha! I have never become a parent so, I almost always side with the kids. To me, the Smurfette had no fault in this, period! :)))

Oh, how rediculous and belittling to their staff. What's a resident supposed to do, 'Say, excuse me, did you wear a shirt with a collar on today, I must know'! It's almost comical. Bess

Oh no!
Bet O and R were happy that they didn't get the blame!

good point Jane, two blue cats would not have gone down well with dd. Mind you they avoid Smurfette as much as possible especially "R" She is getting to the point she can nearly catch them!!

UH-OH! Glad the blue food colouring wasn't permanent! Little kids do love to investigate and experiment.

I love your needlework project!

Oh my sorry but I had to laugh here at the blue Smurfette story . Yes been there done that to ! One reason I don't like gated housing communities never know who to trust and they have to much say in what you can and cant do in and around your own house all to close knit for me ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !

Oh no! Lol...only I probably shouldn't be laughing. :D I hope someone took a photo. It might come in useful when little smurfette grows up. Lovely cross stitch project. I used to cross stitch but now find I have so very little time for things like that. Drag.

I was chuckling at the message from the PM because it did indeed, sound like the collarless workers were to be feared greatly. But then, you had the smurfette story. I think most of us parents have a similar story don't we? Ours is about a freshly painted wall and purple Crayola's. Hilarious!
Love the owl scissors cover. Useful and cute.
Blessings,
Betsy

Never had a food colouring incident but my DD used food colouring in her art projects so I have every colour under the sun in my cupboard. Love the owl.

Tee hee, your gardeners and the little smurfette story gave me a giggle - and reminded me of when my gorgeous little 3 year old Goddaughter decided it would be fun to colour in our sofa with pink, orange and green highlighters! Of course, I didn't find it so funny at the time :-) And your little owl is just so sweet too! Thanks for always popping by my blog too.
Have a happy day, love Gilly xx

I had to laugh about the blue food coloring!! Ah children - so much joy, so much fun (well, perhaps not for her mother at that very moment...). I love the idea of calling her Smurfette. Is she eating sarsaparilla now?

Gill, you about had me laughing out loud with the comments about the guys without collars....made me think about dogs without collars running wild, and maybe they bite or something. LOL

And then your little Smurfette...you need to find a outfit that blue color!

My little one when she was little made and ate blue cup cakes at nursery and came home to throw up on new lounge carpet. I could not get it out. Had to get insurance to pay up. No quibble as they could see it was a new carpet.

I love that cross stitch project! It is so cute. The letter about the workers made me chuckle a bit - it does make them sound dangerous!!

The blue food colouring...priceless. I remember when, lol

I know how many hours of stitching that must have been; not such a "small" project. Maybe you will have to keep those dangerous workers at bay with your sharp bird scissors!

I had forgot about the directions to only talk to the guys with collars...sitting here again with tears in my eyes from laughing so hard...that and the Smurfette incident make a great combo. and sorry I got the Happy Canada Day posted to the wrong post.
