Well winter has finally arrived and it snowed for quite a bit on both Saturday and Sunday. Mainly streamers off the lake but enough that dh had to blow out the driveway with the snow blower.
I managed to get the tree up on Sunday. Moved it to a different place this year in the hopes my chocolate decorations don't melt this year!!!

Must say I think this is a good cookie recipe and one that is so simple to make. Not sure though if you get the sugar cookie dough in Britain though? Here is today's recipe Raspberry Cake Bars For those of you who can't buy the dough here is a sugar cookie recipe. I haven't tried the recipe, YET, but will give it a go when I have a few minutes to spare.

Keep it! Keep it! Keep it! All yours! We're at 24.8F right now. Planning things to do tomorrow. No time for snow. . . . .Tree sure is pretty, Liz
That's a pretty scene from what looks like your verandah! Choclate box scenary, even!
The tree is gorgeous, and so BIG. It must have taken ages to decorate it. Hope the chocolate decorations stay hard. It has stopped snowing here but it's still freezing, minus double figures now.
I don't know what sugar cookie dough is, I'm afraid. It sounds sweet though! Blowing the snow off the drive with a snow blower? I don't think we have those over here in England - now perhaps that's a gap in the market?
You're early with your tree Gill but it looks wonderful and I can see your new hanging in the window too.
Blessings, Star
Is Molly well behaved around decorations? Some of our cats go nuts; climbing up the tree, batting the decorations, I have to have eyes in the back of my head!
The tree look pretty...and big!

Beautiful snow!!!! Love Shaky, I went to see him twice in the good old days. xxxxxx
We've gotten lots of snow so far this year. The most since 1996, the year before the flood of the century. It's suppose to snow again on Thurs. Got your mail today..thankful. It brought a smile to my face thinking of you. Hugs
SNOW!! I really hate the thought's of it. We have been lucky so far but I'm sure it will hit us big one day.
That Christmas looks lovely and did you say it has chocolate ornaments?
Oh my, definitely my kind of tree.
Too many good cookie recipes and just not enough time.
I don't know about there, but it is COLD here...may be that I just don't like cold. But even my husband says it is cold and he never complains.
(I picked up cream cheese till I can make those Chocolate gooey things from Paula Dean...I am not even reading this recipe! You have too many tempting ones.)
Your tree is pretty! It's definitely the season for sugary goodness, isn't it?
Ah, yes, my Sweetheart and I saw the snow streamers yesterday as well. We woke up and it was sunny out, so he went to take a look outside and called out 'It's snowing!' from the living room. I, still nice and cozy and drowsy in bed, replied 'But it's sunny out!' And then I recalled that we were in Toronto and that Lake Effect snow happens even when it's sunny lol
Snow always looks so pretty. And it does get you in the Christmas mood. Your tree looks right at home against the stone wall.
