Grass is on bloody steroids!!

Super busy bank holiday weekend, but finally got a bit done in the garden.  However there are still so many more jobs to do it's difficult knowing where to start at times.  Got a face like a boiled lobster with all the sun.  Rained out on Monday night, which may have been a blessing in disguise as I was pooped.

I have cut the grass on and off for the last four days in a row.  I cut the front lawn on Sunday night and there wasn't a dandelion in sight.  Got up the next morning and the bloody lawn was full of the rotten things again???  The grass is growing that fast that I swear if I look carefully I can see it actually grow!!!  I have used around 35 litres of fuel this last few days cutting the grass, but it is starting to look a bit better.

The following is so true when you think about it:

Why Men are NeverDepressed
What do you expect from such simple creatures?
Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never have to drive to another gas station
restroom because this one is just too icky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to
turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character.
Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental $100.
People never stare at your chest when you're talking
to them.
New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
One mood all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
You can open all your own jars.
You get extra credit for the slightest act
of thoughtfulness.
If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still
be your friend.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a 3 pack.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original colour.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, even decades.
You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life.
One wallet and one pair of shoes -- one colour for
all seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.
You can 'do' your nails with a pocket knife.
You have freedom of choice concerning growing
a moustache.
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on
December 24 in 25 minutes.
No wonder men are happier.

wow. You are up as early as me sometimes. My wife complains that I get up to early (I feel I am wasting the day away if I sleep past 9) Many a day I am up at 4 am though to make the 30 minute drive to work (60 minutes if there is traffic).

As for grass, it does seem to grow fast especially during rainy weather.

Know I know why men are happier, lol. With all this rain, still as I type this note, I am sure I can hear our grass growing!

I agree with the grass. The dandelions must lay down when the mower comes by and then pop up again when I am done cutting the grass.
We complain but, I would rather cut grass than shovel snow.

Our grass is the same way. We've had so much rain it just keeps growing and growing. Take care of those sunburns, girlfriend. Hubby has skin cancer because he didn't. Hugs

On the times I get up before the sun I love this time of the day and love to watch the sun rise. Loved that last bit about men. Brilliant!

Hee hee that's brilliant, going to forward that one on to my girlfriends!
One good thing about not having had any rain here for months is that our grass, usually taking over the garden by now, is not doing so this year! Just as soon as the first drop of rain comes it will be a different story!
Found a recipe for dandylion wine if it helps to make something yummy from the little blighters!
Take care
