Today's Flower........

More yellow flowers.  These ones grow to around five feet tall.  Not sure what their exact name is, but they are pretty.

Pretty flowers. Yellow seems a predominate color this time of year. Your flowers may be Rudbeckia lacinata 'Autumn Sun (Herbstsonne)'.

Hi Gill! Your flower is very pretty! I hope you had a fun weekend! Hurry back!

PS. I read about the aircraft mechanic joke. My brother is an aeronautical engineer and in my place they do need a college degree, years of training and a license to fix planes. But, of course, I know you are joking! ;-)

On first glance I thought I was looking at black-eyed susans and then I noticed the unique green centers.
They are lovely!

I think they are yellow coneflowers, but I'm not sure about that. I have some in my gardens too so I really should look them up...someday. :)

They are a pretty flower, I do not know the name either. But I have seen them around here too. They remind me of coneflowers.

I get them also. Early in the season I pull them out as they come from my neighbour's garden but then when it gets to this tie of the year I leave them so as to have some colour!

I love having color like this at this time of the year Gill! I heard on the news that we've lost 90 minutes of daylight since the summer solstice in June--Fall is on the way!!

I hope you've had a good weekend!

I love these and no, I can't remember what they are called either! My neighbour has some and I often admire them as I go past.
For years I could only grow white daisies in my garden. I wanted some yellow ones to make it look more interesting but it was as if the daisies wouldn't allow the yellow ones in. Perhaps it is the same the other way round. Perhaps if I only had yellow ones, the white ones wouldn't grow.
Blessings, Star
