Weekly saving pot............

It's that time of year where I set up my yearly savings pot.

I print out the sheet from Medium Sized Family.  Click on the name and it will take you to the PDF page.

This will be my third year doing this.  You just cross out a square each week and put in the corresponding money amount.  Now I decided to get ahead of the game, and crossed out the three bottom squares, and put $34 into the pot, as it's hard to see those three bottom squares.  I tend to put money in on a Friday.

I have used the money in the past for spending money when we go away.  I find it a simple way of saving a little extra money.

In interesting savings challenge. Mine is quite boring, a regular savings account which pays some interest, returns the new total to the bank account at the end of each year and restarts automatically.

That's a good plan. It's nice to have a bit extra to splash on special occasions.

I will be doing the same thing setting up savings pots later, I use sealed tins though and have a couple different ones, it's surprising how small amounts add up.

This is a great idea IF I had cash on hand. I use the debit card for everything and rarely carry any cash anymore.

This is a great idea. Unfortunately we get lots of cash and use our debit cards
The little we get in coins, we fill up a large savings tin.
It’s getting close to opening them up and counting out the money to be banked
Happy new year. May it be full of blessings

When we set up our budget we gave ourselves a biweekly (or twice a month) allowance. When I go to the bank and get the allowance for the next period of time, anything in my wallet is added to my "savings envelope". I use it to purchase any fabric or yarn or other such craft item. I will be using some of it to pay for my sewing machine fix.

Happy New Year.

God bless.
