I completed last week's section and it looks lovely.
Now as you can see I have completed a lot of the right hand side border. I had struggled with the left hand side to the point where I didn't want to do it. I have been doing cross stitch for over 40 years, but could not wrap my head around that border pattern on the left hand side. I finally figured out what the problem was. My brain reads from left to right, so I turned my work around so the present box and the decoration box were at the bottom. I then sewed up the border from left to right in no time flat. There is still some parts to do on that border. For the top border, I will turn my work upside down so the Santa is upside down and on the left hand side and work the border left to right again.Very happy with this weeks section, which is the bottom middle section and includes British Robins.
Very, very pleased with how it's all looking.
Update:
I worked away on it on Friday afternoon, loving the Robin. 💖

It's looking good. Isn't it strange how turning the fabric upside and working the stitching the other way suddenly makes it easier?
It’s coming along just beautifully! I love it!
I know, but once I did that it all made sense. Funny how the brain works isn't it?
thanks I am so pleased with it also.
This just keeps looking better and better! I love the wonderfully bright colours that aren't really the traditional ones you would expect for a Christmas project.
It's like you're stitching happiness.
that perfectly describes it.........
I agree I do enjoy her colour palette
It's looking good :)
All the best Jan
It's looking really lovely. I, too, like the robin.
Your stitching looks absolutely gorgeous.
God bless.
Brilliant idea! I guess we are so tuned into top to bottom and left to right that we don't always see other options right away
It looks beautiful. My brain works the same way. Even reading maps I had to turn it so I was looking at it from the same direction we were traveling.
Everyone thinks I’m weird but it worked for me.
You have a lot more patience than I do. It looks beautiful.
It is lovely, absolutely delightful! xx
