Before and after........

 Before:

After:

We were forecast for snow, rain and freezing rain on Sunday, so it sounded like a day to hibernate, and put all the Christmas decorations away for another year.  I generally do it on Boxing Day but we were at our daughter's on Boxing Day.

The one thing I left up is this wreath which I got from Ikea, which will stay up until the 12th night.

Now granted I am going to be hoovering up glitter and bits of tree for the next few weeks 🤨  I am glad though to get everything back to normal.

When do you take your tree down?

I took mine down on the 26th. Somehow once the festivities are over, the un-decorating seems to become a dread. I just got it over with and tried to clean a bit as I went.

Our tree is still up and will be until we go through New Year. So, it will come down this weekend officially marking the end of this year’s holiday season for us.

What a pretty tree and wreath! I love looking at the snow when I don't have to go out in it.
We leave our tree up until New Year's. I'll leave some of the winter/snow decorations and village up until Valentine's day.

I would love to take our tree down on Boxing Day but the RC likes to have it up until after Jan 1st. It will definitely get put away on the 2nd!

I usually take mine down after New Years, but I'm itching to do it this year. I need the clutter gone to focus on a New Year.

I take mine down in stages. The foyer tree is usually the first to go, probably tonight, then the den tree tomorrow and finally the living room tree on Christmas Eve. There are a fed decorations that will be de- Christmased but will stay our through January, because I like the lights on the long winter nights.

I might start soon. We don’t take them down until after the sixth of January. After the blessing of the water If I go slow I’ll time it, to finish packing them all away on that day
