Sunday started out great, as we finally had rain overnight and a couple of showers through the day. We can now see the odd green blade of grass. We are desperately in need of rain around here. It was overcast for most of the day, and humid. I spent most of the day doing some sewing and hubby spent the day in the basement building/framing a wall. A good time was had by both of us. We are easily pleased!!
Monday was cooler....YEAH!! Also started to rain and carried on into Tuesday......more green grass!! Had to go to the hairdressers on Tuesday and for once walked out happy. I have a love/hate relationship with hairdressers and my hair. I have a simple haircut, that takes very little skill to cut. Therefore I cannot justify paying a lot for a haircut...........but as with many things in life, you get what you pay for.......cheaper is not always better!!
Wednesday another overcast and cooler day...........bonus as far as I am concerned. So more green grass!!
Thursday we had a mini road trip. The kids had rented a cottage for a week, so took the two hour drive to meet them for the day. It was a lovely day. I sat in the shade all day but managed to catch the sun on my face. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves watching the grand kids on the lake. Also watching the boats go by. We were home by 5:30 pm, tired but satisfied.
Friday was a day at home. The weather was gorgeous again. A bit hot for me, but not too bad.
Saturday was another day spent around the house.
Overall a good week as I know the temperatures are finally starting to cool down a little........roll on Fall!!

Ever since covid hit my DH has cut my hair and done as well as most of the 'professional' cuts I've had, if not better. Sure has saved me a ton of money. Must have been something in the air on Thursday because we went on a little road trip too. We needed apples and like to go directly to the orchard. Sadly our favourite variety isn't available yet but the staff suggested a new-to-us apple called 'Rave' - if you like a tart, crisp and very juicy apple they certainly fit the bill. Very good!
Haircuts seem to cost an arm and a leg now. I do wish that Harvey could cut my hair sometimes, especially just a bit of a trim. Staying close to home this week and until we leave, trying to get rid of as much work around the house as possible.
God bless.
